Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Rachel Wilson.
Hi Dr. Rachel , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My life has been a journey of purpose and evolution. I am the seventh of eleven children, raised in a single-parent household, and from an early age I was grounded in faith, which became the foundation for everything I do today.
A pivotal moment in my life came at 16 years old after a serious car accident, where I made the decision to fully surrender my life to Christ. From that point forward, I became intentional about living with purpose. I began leading Bible studies in high school and developed a deep passion for encouraging and pouring into others.
Over the years, that passion has grown into multiple areas of impact. Today, I am a wife, mother, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and mentor. Some know me as the “Cameo Queen” through my vintage jewelry business on WhatNot, where I’ve built a unique brand and community. I’m also the co-founder of LTAR (Let’s Talk About Results), a faith-based clothing line my husband and I recently launched, and the founder of Girl Talk International, which is focused on empowering and mentoring women and girls.
Everything I do is rooted in my God given desire to inspire, uplift, and help others walk confidently in their purpose. My journey isn’t just about where I started, it’s about how I’ve used every season of my life to build something meaningful that impacts others.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. My journey has been marked by adversity, but also by seasons of stretching, learning, and growth.
Growing up in poverty as one of eleven children came with its own challenges, and I experienced loss and trauma at a young age. But even beyond that, stepping into entrepreneurship and leadership brought a different kind of pressure. I’ve faced rejection, missed opportunities, and moments where things didn’t go as planned.
There were times I had to learn through trial and error, making mistakes, starting over, and figuring things out without a clear blueprint. Building businesses, balancing ministry, and managing multiple responsibilities required me to grow quickly and develop resilience.
Instead of allowing those moments to discourage me, I chose to learn from them. Every mistake became a lesson, and every setback helped strengthen my faith, my discipline, and my vision.
Those experiences shaped me into who I am today. They gave me the endurance to keep going, the wisdom to make better decisions, and the passion to help others navigate their own challenges. Now, I don’t just talk about overcoming, I live it, and I use it to empower others to keep pushing forward no matter what they face.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and mentor who is passionate about helping others turn their pain into purpose and their gifts into impact.
I’m widely known as the “Cameo Queen” on the WhatNot platform, where I specialize in selling vintage cameos and curating unique, timeless pieces. What started as a passion has grown into a thriving business and community where I connect with people from all over the world.
I am also the co-founder of LTAR (Let’s Talk About Results), a faith-based clothing brand that I started with my husband. LTAR is more than apparel—it’s a movement that encourages people to live out their faith boldly and produce real, tangible results in their lives.
In addition, I am the founder of Girl Talk International, an organization dedicated to mentoring, empowering, and supporting women and girls from all walks of life. Through this platform, we are actively seeking partners and supporters who share our vision to make a global impact.
What sets me apart is my authenticity and the fact that everything I teach, I’ve lived. I don’t just speak from theory, I speak from real-life experience, from overcoming trauma to building multiple platforms with purpose. I am most proud of the lives that have been changed through my story, my mentorship, and the spaces God has used me to create for healing and growth.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is how to truly activate my faith through both work and perseverance. I’ve come to understand that faith isn’t just about what you believe—it’s about what you’re willing to do consistently, even when you don’t see immediate results.
There have been many moments where I had to keep showing up, stay disciplined, and trust God in the process, even when things didn’t go as planned. That’s where real growth happens—in the commitment to keep going.
I’ve also learned the importance of covering and guidance. Being able to glean from my husband, who is both my partner and my Pastor, has been instrumental in my journey. His wisdom and leadership have helped shape how I move in both ministry and business.
Ultimately, I’ve learned that when you combine faith with action, stay planted, and remain teachable, you will see the results. That principle has carried me through every season of my life.
