Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Fowler.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a child, I was obsessed with photos. Printing them, making scrapbooks, gifting them, etc. Cameras fascinated me, they were able to “click” and then one moment in time would last forever. When I was in high school I was the Yearbook Editor, and not only did that come with responsibility, it came with a DSLR.
My obsession with photographing EVERYTHING began. After graduation, I bought my first camera, and I haven’t put it down since. Over the last seven years, I have been growing as a Lifestyles Photographer in Griffin Georgia. Learning to run a business, market for your business and finding your clientele is far from easy, but it is so worth it!
Has it been a smooth road?
Oh no, it has been far from a smooth road for me. I am completely self-taught, of course, other than a sweet photog friend of mine that has been with me along the way. Just like with anything else, there is always something new to learn and there is always room to grow, not to mention there are so many others who share the same passion. However, the road continues to get smoother with each passing day as I am completely community over competition. I believe it is so important to support each other as we all share love for photography.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Photos by Elizabeth story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a Lifestyles Photographer, specializing in the moments in our lives that we want to relive forever, Seniors, Engagements, Maternity,Families, and Weddings. I believe that what sets me apart from others in my personality. I love to get to know each and every one of my clients on a personal level. Being able to connect with your clients makes the session not only beautiful but FUN and I am all about having FUN!
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next five years, I hope to see myself shooting more in an industrial setting! More cities, tall building, etc. I would also love to start coordinating weddings because when I second shoot weddings, I just want to take charge of the whole thing! There are so many dreams I have for the next five years, so I guess we will see what happens!
