Today, we’d like to introduce you to Enchantis Covington. Enchantis was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Brandi Fox.
Enchantis, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Definitely! As the eldest sibling of 29, I have always felt the need to take care of children. I thought for sure when I grow up I want to be a teacher. I was always looking for ways to teach my siblings and play school with my friends. During my free time, I would watch my grandmother cook and ask a million questions. I started cooking at the age of six. It started out as toast and eggs, but by the time I was 10 I was able to make full meals. I spent the early part of my childhood with my paternal grandmother, and she taught me all the basic skills of cooking. When I turned 12 I was in between the homes of several family members. Up until I was 18 years old I experienced a series of unfortunate events and circumstances. I fell into a deep depression that I just couldn’t shake. The only escape I had from my dreadful reality was being in the kitchen. All of my heartache and sorrow were poured into my food. For me, before there was therapy, there was cooking. I would often experiment with different foods and create new spins to my grandma’s old recipes. When I graduated high school I was still set on going to school to teach young children. I enrolled in school for Early Childhood Development. I started working as a Pre-K teacher. In all my lessons, I found myself doing some kind of cooking activity with the children. When I was promoted to an Administrative position I found myself cooking for the teachers. I worked in Childcare for about 15 years and it was not as fulfilling as it was when I first started. Fast forward to now. I currently teach first grade at a Charter school but looking to transition out in the next year.
Cooking is my passion. I can continue to use my creative skills to come up with exciting new recipes. I love being able to make people smile by just the simple aromas of the herbs and spices. I love the conversations that are generated through food. That lead me to turn my passion into a business.

Please tell us more about your brand, Dine with Dynasty
Dine With Dynasty is a Private Chef and Catering company. The main focus is to provide excellent food and great customer service. The name of my company, Dine with Dynasty, represents the royal experience and feeling you will have after my services are complete. Dynasty is the name of my family. We came up with that name to represent us all as a unit. A unit of strength, power, and love. This is the way all of the Dynasty customers will feel no matter what. Dine with Dynasty offers private dining in the comfort of your home. We can turn any normal dinner experience into five star restaurant quality service. We cater to any party ideas you have and make your vision come to life. We also provide meal prep for both families and individuals. There are so many talented chefs and great cooks in the world. I think the one thing that set me apart from the rest is my ability to interact with the clients and give them a memorable experience. Not just an experience of tasting good food, but the experience of being treated like royalty. My ultimate goal is to leave the client in awe. Being able to converse over good food allows people to express themselves a little more freely. So sometimes I like to think of myself as the therapist of the kitchen. In the current stage of building the brand, I am most proud of the small accomplishments, the network of individuals and the knowledge gained. I have so many ideas and my circle is helping me bring them al to life. I am trusting the process and learning new things a long the way.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Brandi Fox and B. The Entrepreneur Consulting Agency and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with B. The Entrepreneur Consulting Agency.
Brandi is the Einstein of business start-up. She makes everything to simple. I started out working with Brandi as a personal chef for her Pamper Us Mobile Massage company. I tossed out the idea of starting my own company and she suggested that I sign up for a consultation, and I did just that. In the first meeting, I told her all of my ideas and she put everything in perspective. She gave me a timeline of events to start the business. I followed the steps and just like that, I was in business. She provided all the links and addresses that I needed for documents and licenses. She also made suggestions for permits that I should look into. We scheduled our next meeting and what should be done by that time.
During our second meeting, we talked about all the things that went well and what I needed to work on. She laid out the steps for marketing yourself and creating your brand. We talked about what I wanted to portray to the clients, my target audience and ways to reach them.
I continued to follow the steps that she gave me and meet with her when I am ready to transition to the next level of business. My second year in business I made $25,000 more than I did the first year.
I admire Brandi because she is the guru of all things entrepreneurship. Her guidance is a great help no matter what business you are trying to start. Not only is she teaching it but she is also walking in it.
