Meet Hal Lipsky of Window Replacements of Georgia in North Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hal Lipsky.

Hal, owner of Window Replacements of Georgia spent the majority of his career in corporate America before starting his own business. While trying to get quotes for replacement windows in his own home, he was disappointed at the lack of professionalism, detail, and follow through during the process. Finally, he decided to just roll up his sleeves and do it himself. After researching the many brands and features of each, he was able to successfully replace all of the old windows in his home on his own. Afterwards, many of the neighbors asked if he could replace their windows also. The list of satisfied neighbors grew until one day Hal decided to hang up his suit and tie and start his window replacement business – Window Replacements of Georgia. Eleven years later he has a thriving family-owned business based 100% on customer referrals.

Hal works closely with his suppliers and takes every opportunity to learn the latest technologies and products available. He participates in all educational classes offered by manufacturers and suppliers in all related fields. He believes that continued education and training not only adds credibility to the company, but is key to innovation and delivering quality service.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I love the phrase, “life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you will get”. This is the nature of the replacement business. When we remove a window or door, we never know if we will find wood rot, termite damage, or other problematic issues. We are always prepared to deal with whatever we find and fix the issue.

We are a window and door installation company. If the window or door is not properly installed it will not perform as the product was designed for maximum performance. We are proud to say we offer the customer choices. As an installation company, we don’t come with an agenda. We access their wants and needs and offer solutions based on their budget. Our customers praise us on our professionalism and timely response. Customers are amazed how organized we are during the process. Our goal is to isolate the working area and keep it clean throughout the demolition and installation.

What were you like growing up?
I have always had an entrepreneur spirit, starting with a paper route at age 10. I have started two other business and sold them, been a manufacturer rep, and spent some time in the financial arena which have prepared me for success today. When time permits, I can be found on the river fly fishing or playing golf.
