Hi Innovent Technologies, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Innovent Technologies was founded by John Johnson, who has spent more than 25 years working in the live events industry supporting conferences, corporate meetings, and productions of all sizes.

Over the course of his career, John saw how much pressure event organizers face when balancing budgets, logistics, technology, and attendee expectations. He also recognized that many clients were looking for more than equipment. They wanted a trusted partner who could simplify the process, solve problems, and help bring their vision to life.
Those experiences ultimately led John to establish Innovent Technologies in 2019 with a focus on delivering thoughtful audiovisual production and event technology support backed by responsiveness, transparency, and strong client relationships.

Since then, the company has grown from a local production provider into a trusted partner for corporations, associations, nonprofits, and event professionals throughout Atlanta and across the country. Today, the Innovent Technologies team supports everything from executive meetings and multi-day conferences to award programs, live events, and hybrid experiences.

While technology continues to evolve, the mission remains the same: helping clients connect their message with their audience through creative technology, reliable execution, and a production process designed to remove stress from event planning.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most businesses, the road has not always been smooth. The live events industry is built around people, technology, logistics, and tight timelines, so there is always a new challenge to solve.

One of the biggest challenges has been growing the business while maintaining the level of service and responsiveness that clients expect. As events become larger and more complex, it takes a great team, strong processes, and trusted partners to consistently deliver successful outcomes.

The industry has also evolved significantly over the years. Client expectations continue to rise, technology changes quickly, and every event presents a unique set of requirements. Staying ahead requires continuous learning, adaptability, and a willingness to invest in both people and technology.

At the same time, those challenges have created opportunities. Every event, every client, and every obstacle has helped us refine our approach and strengthen the business. Looking back, many of the lessons that contributed most to our growth came from navigating challenges rather than avoiding them.

Today, we’re proud of the relationships we’ve built and the trust our clients place in us. Those relationships have been a major factor in helping Innovent Technologies grow and continue moving forward.

Innovent Technologies is an audiovisual production and event technology company based in Atlanta, supporting conferences, executive meetings, corporate events, award programs, nonprofit events, and hybrid experiences throughout the Southeast and across the country.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, John was drawn to music, technology, and the creative process behind live experiences. Those interests led him to study Music Business at Belmont University, where he gained exposure to both the creative and technical sides of the entertainment industry.

After college, John began his career as an event technician, traveling extensively and supporting productions in a wide variety of environments. Over the years, he continued expanding his expertise across audio, lighting, video, rigging, design, and event technology while working alongside talented production teams throughout the industry.

As his experience grew, so did his responsibilities. What began as hands-on technical work evolved into leading production teams, managing complex events, developing creative solutions, and helping clients bring their vision to life. Those experiences ultimately laid the foundation for what would later become Innovent Technologies.
