Meet Jennifer Lott of Weddings by Epic in North

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Lott.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jennifer. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always had a passion for planning events and parties. It is in my blood!!! There is no other job that fuels my insides than that flawless execution of each individual’s personal story and that is why I chose weddings. That and let’s be honest, weddings are expensive. HAHA. I started just taking clients as a day of coordinator. It is kind of intimidating to be the one responsible for every little detail that goes into the big day so I started with baby steps… NOT! My first wedding had a wedding party of 32 (yes 32!!!), at a very large winery, suited up with live musicians, horse-drawn carriage, all the bells, and whistles. Not going to lie Google was my best friend. I took that wedding as a boss and have never looked back. It comes very naturally to me and I am a giver, so being able to give of myself to others has just naturally projected our company into the 5 stars, highly reputable brand I have strived to achieve. We live and breathe on the relationships we have built and if it was over tomorrow… I could say I feel complete. However, it has just begun.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I can honestly say that when it comes to business ownership, the struggle I have is finding help. There is that sweet spot that we hit when I can close 99% of leads and then you have to either raise your prices or add some more planners. Well, we did both this year, three times to be exact. Right now, I have a core team that is rockstars!!!! I would be nothing without my team. I try very hard to let every one of them know how valuable they are to me. I wish I was a millionaire so I can pay them what they deserve. I am sure on this journey we will continue to strive to add planners that are EPIC and want to be a part of something so magical. Please tell us about Weddings by Epic.
We are known to be the FUN ones… and don’t be fooled it does not come at a compromise of all the other things that are equally as important. Flawless execution while having fun and being excited would be our vision in a nutshell. We offer planning as well as a variety of in house services such as decor, florals, rentals, just to name a few. This makes us essentially a one-stop shop and eases the stress for our couples in their vendor searches.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Cheerleading… I absolutely loved screaming and jumping around cheering on the cute boys. Who wouldn’t?!?
