Meet Jill Volpe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jill Volpe.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jill. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
For as long as I can remember, holistic health and metaphysics have always been an interest of mine. But when I was in my late twenties, I was introduced to Reiki (a Japanese form of energy healing) by a dear friend who would often practice it on me. I fell in love with Reiki and it’s gentle power. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before.

And the magic of it, so to speak, I never questioned. I look back and think how trusting I was of the energy and how I understood it on another level. I later studied Reiki and got my Master Teacher certification so I could go on to certify others. I studied other forms of energy healing, as well, and offered my services through private practice as well as in healing centers, a hospital, and in the Professional and Personal development program at the University of Tennessee.

Nearly five years ago, my husband and two boys moved to the Atlanta area. My youngest was starting kindergarten so my “mommy” role was changing. I knew I wanted to focus on building my business as I had been doing prior to our relocation. However, I had this nagging feeling that something was missing. I realized that while the Reiki and energy healing was beautiful and transformative for many people, there were still others that I wanted to give more, too but I didn’t know what that “more” was.

It was like I could only take them so far on their healing journey. So, I began researching and came across some videos of Tony Robbins through Robbins-Madanes Training and it was a lightbulb moment! I knew this was the next step for me. I didn’t make the decision to pursue coaching training lightly. I took a mini-class, researched other programs, the field itself, watched tons of videos – but kept coming back to Tony’s coaching school. It was the right fit for me.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As a young adult, my path was very winding. It led me to many cities, jobs, relationships, and studies. It was a good path. I worked hard, enjoyed life, and took pride in my achievements. But there were definitely stops along the way that were full of anxiety and stress. And still, others that were truly heartbreaking, especially when it came to relationships.

It wasn’t until I merged my spiritual path with my life path that things started to make sense. Bringing God back into my life in a more universal way and studying Reiki opened me to see things I hadn’t before – to shift the choices I was making, the patterns I was following, and the thoughts that I was thinking.

As a grown woman aware of her spiritual path, a solopreneur, wife, mother, including the many other hats I wear, inherently have their own set of challenges. I don’t like to call them struggles because it implies that they are insurmountable. I like to call them “growing pains” because everyone knows that growing pains are temporary. You literally grow out of them! And you are stronger, smarter, and more resilient when you do.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
As a Board Certified Life Coach, I help women who are in a rut. They’re tired, overwhelmed, frustrated, and often confused about what they want and need to be happy and successful. These are high functioning, intelligent women that are ready to transform their lives but may not have the support, motivation, clarity or understanding around what’s really holding them back. As a result, these same incredible women are numbing themselves with alcohol and other unhealthy habits, including “staying busy” and stuck in a negative emotional loop.

The focus of my work is to assist these women in figuring out what’s really important to them and for their families, finding perspective and creative solutions for self-care and to design a life they love, both personally and professionally. Together, we explore relationships, thoughts, beliefs, lifestyles – we talk about the past but we don’t stay in it. We learn from it and use what they’ve learned to move forward. Coaching is practical, creative, and action-oriented. It’s also fun!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me, success is a feeling. I feel successful when I am fulfilled when I’m teaching and giving beyond myself to my family, friends, and clients and when I am growing emotionally, mentally, and of course, spiritually. My service to God is the most important thing to me and when I am aligned with the co-creative power of the Universe, I am confident and at peace.
