Meet Justin Miller of Training With Jay in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Miller.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Justin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
For me, my journey started back when I was playing football in the NFL. My 3rd year in I tore my ACL & lateral meniscus in my right knee. Recovering & rehabbing from that was a process. After I retired, I wanted to be more involved with fitness & help others achieve their goals. I knew that the things I learned recovering could easily transfer over.

From there, I became more knowledgeable about training & took the proper steps to make sure that I was certified in the proper areas. Since I’ve evolved as one of the must-see performance coaches in Atlanta. I’ve probably trained majority of your celebrity trainers or coaches in Atlanta as well as numerous professional, collegiate & high school athletes.

Has it been a smooth road?
Training itself can be challenging because no one person is particularly alike. There are similarities but as a performance coach, you have to understand progression & regression. The moment you can implement these concepts into an individuals training program marks the moment you start to see growth. I’d be lying if I said that this industry has smooth sailing bc it hasn’t been. The beginning is always challenging bc you’re wanting to make sure that what you’re doing is making sense but also rewarding you financially. Plus it’s very hard when you see people doing gimmicky forms of training & seeing an increase in clientele. The key to success though is to carve you out a lane & stick to it. Understand that you must have a foundation and stick to it.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Training With Jay – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
TrainingWithJay is a reflection of myself & how I train on a daily. My foundation of training derives from Olympic Lifting. Any major lift that you’re accustomed to seeing like squat, deadlift & bench press all stem from Olympic lifting. My goal via TrainingWithJay is to try and help my clients achieve not only their physical goals but also strengthen themselves mentally. Through weightlifting, you’re going to be challenged beyond your typical barriers and this program is a great way to show you that you can achieve anything.

TrainingWithJay also provides a mentor program for young men in Atlanta. After retiring from the NFL, I also wanted to share my craft and techniques to other young inspiring individuals. Through this program, I develop & polish young mental for football play but also educate them on the importance of carrying themselves as model citizens as well.
