Hi Kim, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into event planning began in corporate America, where I managed logistics for various sized conferences and trade shows in the food industry. Over time, my passion for creating meaningful experiences expanded beyond corporate and into my local church, where I was a part of a team organizing events and lending a hand with weddings for friends and family. But it was while planning my own wedding that everything clicked — and Yours Truly Events was born.

Five years later, what started as a passion project has grown into a thriving boutique wedding planning company. Today, Yours Truly Events is made up of a team of five talented women who share a love for bringing love stories to life through intentional, joyful, and beautifully tailored celebrations.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest obstacle for me is when I formally launched my business. Janurary of 2020. That was the year that covid shut down just about everything. I had one wedding that year, that was outside in the monhtly of July here in Georgia. In the begging there were obstacles finding ‘my people’ in the wedding pro industry that I could network with and build relationships with.
