Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiola George.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kiola. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The Good Girlfriends Network evolved from gatherings that I already did with my friends. I am a natural connector. I always liked putting people together who could help each other attain their respective goals. The Good Girlfriends Network events take place in various cities and are a space for good women to make new friends and support one another. We share valuable information such as branding yourself, self-care and learning how to balance your life. The main goal is creating a sisterhood for women and uplifting each other.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been easy executing these events. I planned the first two in two weeks. As a single mother and entrepreneur, finding the time to manage multiple projects is taxing. Thankfully, I enjoy bringing people together so these events are worth it! The women that have attended so far are so happy to be able to connect with women like themselves without feeling like it’s pretentious. That means the world to me.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The Good Girlfriends Network is only a couple months old. I am the creator of the event. I am not an event planner by trade. I am actually a Real Estate Salesperson and Tech Entrepreneur. My passion lies in bringing people together and empowering women to follow their dreams. The thing that sets me apart from a lot of people is that I am genuinely interested in helping people. I have experienced so many different people over the course of my professional career and understand how difficult it can be to step out and take a chance on your happiness. That is what I see my purpose is… to encourage people through the hard times. I am most proud of how far the Goof Girlfriends have come in a very short period of time. Our network has grown exponentially since July and we gain about 75 new followers a week. We have had women from all across the country reach out to have an event in their cities. The entire experience has been incredible.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely! I have a healthy network of impressive female entrepreneurs and professionals in Atlanta. I am very excited for the Atlanta event for that very reason. There will be speakers and impact leaders that are sure to inspire our network of women from the area.
