Meet Leah Chitwood of Love June in Kennesaw

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Chitwood.

Have been in the business since November 2014! With two locations: Kennesaw + Cartersville, GA.

Love June Boutique was started by Leah Chitwood in November, 2014. Leah graduated from college in 2011 with a degree in finance but she has always had a love for fashion.

She is married to Michael and has two beautiful boys. She named the site after her two sons Tripp and River, whose middle names are JUde and EugeNE. Get it? It’s pretty clever right? We thought so too. Many girls dream of owning their own boutique, and after years of imagining what having her own might be like, Leah decided to put her dreams into action and that is when Love June was born.

So, during the day, Leah works full time at Home Depot Corporate, but her nights and weekends are devoted to Love June. Every day the site and stores are growing and the future looks bright.

Juggling a full-time job, a family and a new business might not be a walk in the park, but it is worth it to see customers wearing and loving the clothes that we sell. We are constantly working to make our customer’s shopping experience the best that it can be!

Love June is located under a 1982 bridge with several historic buildings located “under the bridge.” Contributing resources in the district consist primarily of attached commercial buildings dating mostly from the late 1870s to the early 1930s.

Our popular items – Judith March, Articles of Society, Buddy Love, Z Supply, and our most popular items are definitely our Piko Tops because of their comfort and versatility. They come in a rainbow of colors and you can dress them up or down which make them a staple in any women’s wardrobe.

Song that best describes your shop? We don’t have a certain song so much as we have an artist. We love Michael Franti and all of his music because of his laid back, one love message and lifestyle. We believe in loving everyone who comes into our store and for living life in a laid back, easy going way. We want customers to feel relaxed and comfortable when they come into our store, like they are coming in to hang out with an old friend, and buy some cute new clothes!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Actually, we have had such a great time! Only being in business 2 years and already having 2 LOVE JUNE stores and also have a plus sized store called The 10th Muse is something Im very proud of. Biggest struggle for me is wanting to purchase one of everything for my personal closet!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Customer service. We try our hardest to go out of our way to treat every customer with the utmost respect. We know you don’t have to shop with us but when you do we want you to know how much we truly appreciate it.
