Meet Natalie Raines of Kollections by Natalie in Stockbridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Raines.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Kollections by Natalie was founded in May 2020 when I was laid off from my job due to the Covid 19 pandemic. When I was made aware that I was losing my job a friend of mine reached out and asked if I wanted to sell any clothes that I had in my closet that I no longer wore on her Facebook platform. I have lost 130 lbs. but had been giving items away so I didn’t think that I had much to try to sell. When I started looking, I found 200 pieces of clothes that I had save in hopes that I could get back into them. Well now they were all too big. Most of my items were vintage items that I had been collecting over the years. So, I decided to host my first live on her Facebook group. I was totally shocked to see how much money I made in 1 hour. So, I then started taking pictures and posting them on Facebook to sell. Soon I had sold out of all of my clothes and it was helping to supplement my income. Over time I have found my vintage wholesalers so that I don’t have to go thrifting and exposing myself to the virus. I couldn’t do 1 to 3 lives a week and love it. I enjoy me new found business because I love helping others by showing beautiful pieces of clothing at discount prices. I sale affordable vintage from the 70-90 and modern pieces. My plus size clothing sells out fast because my customers state that they have a hard time finding nice items at affordable prices. All items are washed and sanitized and packaged as if they paid a million dollars. Kollections by Natalie is 100% a homebased business because I run it without ever having to leave the house. I can’t wait to see how much this company will grow and we are now only 3 months in business. Our tagline is Bold Vintage meets Fresh Modern.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No business is smooth. There have been some lives that I don’t sell much but I evaluate myself to make things better the next go round. I have mentors that I brain storm with to make things better.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kollections by Natalie story. Tell us more about the business.
Kollections by Natalie is a resell business that specializes in Vintage and Modern items. I am known as the Vintage Dress Diva because I sell so many vintage dresses. I am so excited to being part of the pioneers that are using Facebook as a selling platform selling resell items. This concept wasn’t really used until the pandemic and people wanted new ways to buy items. It is like the shopping network but on Facebook.
What sets me apart is that I sell both vintage and modern on the platforms,
