Natheree Lackey

Hi Natheree, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I love the question that’s asked how did you start modeling, honestly I never wanted to be a model growing up, but in 2020 I started selling clothes . From there I must say GOD begin to show me my calling as a Fashion Model. As I was selling clothes (Natheree Queens Collection LLC) from 2020 to 2022 I was my own model & others would advise me that I should model. Now let’s fast forward April 2022 came & I finally took that big step to look into modeling. I had my first fashion show April 2022 & from there I told myself this is for you just to know you can put that attitude ON THE RUNWAY & ITS OK , SIGN ME UP.. I say that because as a child I was a snappy little quiet girl so it only made sense when I started modeling. From 2022 to 2026 I must say GOD has grabbed my hand & showed me EACH & EVERY DAY & through every opportunity this is my GIFT. I will say what really motivated me was my first NYFW in 2022 , meeting all those girls & seeing how passionate they were for modeling & the stories & opportunities they told me they had made me really lock-in. 2023 came in & I remember I did a show like every weekend as I work a 9-5 , but I wanted to give myself experience because I must say its nothing like actually modeling & working in front of people. 2024 came in & I became a little more selective with the things I was apart of , I made more connections & 2025 GOD DID HIS THING. 2025 came in & I mean I can go on & on about my opportunities but I got my first VOGUE FT , went to PFW , got ftd in many magazines articles, got my first magazine front cover page for Harpers Bazaar. Then 2026 rolled in & the OVERFLOW came , it’s been bittersweet since I lost my grandmother 12/30/2025 two days before my 30th birthday, but I must say she isn’t suffering no more. I KNOW she is my guardian angel , & the opportunities I’ve gotten this year are phenomenal, I JUST KNOW SHES UP THERE WORKING OVERTIME.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road? lol is that a rhetorical question. No but honestly it hasn’t been a smooth road but I feel like it has been worth every bump I had to go through to get to where I am today. I will say some struggles are getting booked for the bigger opportunities consistently , as a freelance model (unsigned) I will say it’s a little harder to secure those opportunities. More struggles being honest is being a BLACK CONFIDENT MODEL, a lot of people look at it as competition but it’s just you standing in your WORTH. Also this year alone , grieving has been a major impact. Loosing my granny which was one of my biggest supporters changed me significantly but I will say I also know she’s right there cheering for me every step I take & every breath I make.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an international professional model , content creator & actress. Ive worked with brands down to Citi trends, Goodwill of NG, FUBU ,Divorce court, Pvalley, ft’d on billboards in NYC Times Square, NYFW x4 years, Justin Haynes ft on front cover of magazines , front cover of magazines articles & many more. I am known for my fashion modeling & content creating. I am honestly proud of myself for chasing my dreams, starting something new & sticking to it & it being successful for me. I feel like what sets me apart from others is my consistency, my uniqunenes & my dedication.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe in luck, but what I do believe in is GODS FAITH & FAVOR. All I will say is GOD sees it all & FAVOR AINT FAIR.
