Meet Ovi Bainbridge of Julie Miller Cake Design in North East Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ovi Bainbridge.

Ovi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started in 2014, when my then 3-year old asked me to make him a ninja turtle cake for his birthday. I had never baked or decorated a cake but I figured it couldn’t be that difficult. Boy was I wrong! It was a lot more work than I imagined.

I received a lot of compliments on the cake and I started getting requests from family and friends to make one of a kind cakes. That’s when I realized, I had a passion for creating one of a kind custom cakes for special occasions.
My cake flavors and textures were always a big hit. I was self taught but I had much to learn and improve on my cake decorating skills. In 2015, I had the opportunity to travel to the UK to train at one of London’s premier cake decorating schools. That gave me the confidence to expand into designing and creating high end custom celebration and wedding cakes catering to the Atlanta metro area.

Has it been a smooth road?
Relocating from Texas to Georgia was challenging for my business because I had to establish a new client base.

I am a custom cake designer and I specialize in custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, baby showers and anniversaries. Julie Miller Cake Design is known for a one of a kind customer experience. I am most proud of the great reviews I receive from my clients. My great customer service and attention to detail sets me apart from others.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Atlanta is a cosmopolitan growing city with a lot of growth especially within my target market. Atlanta is business friendly especially towards small businesses.
