Meet Ricardo, Mirelka Albino, Ingles of Vitalistic Wave Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo, Mirelka Albino, Ingles.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Vitalistic Wave Chiropractic was founded by husband-and-wife team Dr. Ricardo Albino and Dr. Mirelka Ingles, who share a passion for helping people achieve better health through a holistic and patient-centered approach.

Both of us were born and raised in Puerto Rico and later moved to Georgia in pursuit of higher education and professional opportunities. Like many entrepreneurs, our journey has been filled with challenges, sacrifices, and valuable life lessons. Moving to a new place, adapting to a different culture, and building careers from the ground up taught us resilience, perseverance, and the importance of staying connected to our purpose.

Dr. Ricardo earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology before pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University. His passion for understanding the human body and helping others restore function naturally led him to chiropractic care. Dr. Mirelka earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology before completing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, and she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Positive Psychology with a concentration in coaching. Her background has deepened her interest in the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Throughout our education and clinical experiences, we recognized that many people struggle with more than physical symptoms. Stress, lifestyle habits, emotional challenges, and nervous system dysregulation often play a significant role in overall health. This realization inspired us to create Vitalistic Wave Chiropractic, a practice focused on helping individuals and families improve their quality of life through chiropractic care, movement, lifestyle education, and nervous system-centered wellness.

Today, our mission is simple: to provide honest, compassionate, and individualized care that empowers people to take an active role in their health. We believe healthcare should focus not only on relieving pain but also on helping people function at their highest potential so they can fully engage in their work, relationships, and everyday lives.

Looking back, every challenge has shaped our journey and strengthened our commitment to serving our community. As healthcare providers, business owners, and lifelong learners, we remain dedicated to helping others build healthier, more fulfilling lives while continuing to grow both personally and professionally.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges we faced was building a healthcare practice from the ground up while simultaneously navigating the financial, emotional, and professional demands of entrepreneurship. As first-generation business owners, we quickly learned that running a practice requires much more than clinical skills. We had to become students of marketing, leadership, finance, networking, and business development.

Moving from Puerto Rico to Georgia also came with its own challenges. We had to adapt to a new environment, build professional networks, and establish ourselves within a highly competitive healthcare market. There were moments of uncertainty, especially during the early stages of opening our practice, when patient volume was inconsistent, and every decision carried significant weight.

Another challenge has been educating the public about the value of chiropractic care and wellness-focused healthcare. Many people are accustomed to waiting until pain becomes severe before seeking help, so part of our mission has been helping patients understand the importance of proactive care, nervous system health, movement, and lifestyle habits.

Despite these obstacles, each challenge has strengthened our resilience and reinforced why we started this journey in the first place. We have learned to focus on continuous growth, serve our community with integrity, and stay committed to our vision even when progress feels slow. Looking back, the difficult moments taught us some of the most valuable lessons and helped shape the practice we are building today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Vitalistic Wave Chiropractic?
Vitalistic Wave Chiropractic is a wellness-focused chiropractic practice in Atlanta founded by Dr. Ricardo Albino and Dr. Mirelka Ingles. Our mission is to help individuals and families improve their health by addressing the root causes of dysfunction rather than simply masking symptoms.

What sets us apart is our whole-person approach to care. We recognize that health is influenced by much more than physical pain. Stress, posture, movement patterns, lifestyle habits, and nervous system function all play an important role in overall well-being. Our goal is to help patients understand how their bodies function, empower them with practical health strategies, and support them in creating lasting changes that improve their quality of life.

We provide chiropractic adjustments, posture and movement assessments, rehabilitative exercises, soft tissue therapies, and wellness-focused care plans tailored to each individual’s needs. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, managing chronic discomfort, or simply looking to improve their overall health, we strive to create personalized solutions that support their goals.

One thing we are especially proud of is the relationships we build with our patients. We believe healthcare should be collaborative, educational, and centered on trust. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, we take the time to listen, educate, and develop care recommendations tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.

At the heart of our practice is a simple belief: when the nervous system functions optimally, the body is better able to adapt, heal, and thrive. Everything we do is guided by our commitment to helping people live healthier, more active, and more fulfilling lives.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
One of the things we love most about Atlanta is its diversity. As two healthcare professionals originally from Puerto Rico, we appreciate being part of a city that brings together people from different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. We also enjoy Atlanta’s incredible food scene, strong entrepreneurial spirit, and the abundance of parks, trails, and natural spaces that make it easy to stay active and connected with nature.

What we like least is probably the traffic. Like many Atlantans, we’ve spent our fair share of time navigating busy roads and long commutes. However, even that challenge reflects how much the city continues to grow and attract people from all over the country.

Overall, Atlanta has provided us with opportunities to build our careers, grow our business, and serve a community that values innovation, diversity, and personal growth. We are grateful to call it home.
