Meet Robin Mosele of Nest Gifts & Decor in Alpharetta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Mosele.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Robin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I actually started in the Antique Booth business. I had twins and had to stop work full time and needed something to fill in my time, I guess 4 kids wasn’t enough. I started junking and opened a booth in Illinois before we moved to Ga. I loved this, I started selling at shows and found my passion.

I moved to Milton 12 years ago and got a booth immediately. This turned into several booths in several malls. I started selling at some shows and did so well that I decided it was time to open my own store and be able to branch out on the type of items I can sell.

I opened Nest Gifts & Decor 3 years ago, this month. It has been a wonderful experience and enjoy every minute of it. Not only do I get to shop for a living, but I get to meet all my wonderful customers. Without them, I wouldn’t be here today.

Has it been a smooth road?
So far it’s been a smooth transition. The hardest part is getting the word out.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Nest Gifts & Decor story. Tell us more about the business.
I am primarily a gift shop with clothing. I try to find unique items that you will not find everywhere. I carry several unique clothing lines. My goal is to always have something for everyone, I have very eclectic taste and I believe I’ve achieved this.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Right now the biggest obstacle is online shopping. However, I do believe there are those people out there who still want to see and touch objects before purchasing, not to mention waiting for the last minute for those perfects gifts. I’m currently working on opening an online store.
