Meet Rossy Murdock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rossy Murdock.

Hi Rossy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am an immigrant from the Dominican Republic. I moved to the US at the age of 12. I didn’t speak English but I was very eager to learn. As I have always been a very studious person, it never bothered me to step out of my comfort zone so that I could make sure I was doing everything possible to learn the language. After 9 months of living here, I was out of the ESOL program which is specifically for non-English speakers. I received so many awards and accolades from all of the schools I attended and I even received an Honor Roll Certificate which was signed by former President Barack Obama. While in High School, I attended Cosmetology School then after I graduated I became a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. Shortly after, I applied at Georgia Gwinnett College and got accepted a few weeks after that. I’m currently studying to become a nurse and pursuing my bachelor’s in Science. Fast forward to two years ago, when the Covid-19 Pandemic started, I was actually working as a server at a Mexican restaurant in Atlanta. I came across the opportunity of becoming a Life Insurance Agent with a company called PHP Agency which I still work with. I actually had Covid and had been in quarantine for the past two weeks before I was offered working with this company. After attending an informational zoom meeting about it, I was all in and so were both my parents and my 22 years old sister who was 20 at the time. We got licensed as Life Insurance Agents and I was actually able to walk away from my serving job 4 months after I started my Life Insurance Business. I have been running my business full time since then. My parents became brokers with the company and we were able to open up our own office located in Norcross. I am currently 23 and in business with my family which is an absolute blessing!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, not really. I was adopted into my household years ago. This was an extremely difficult time in my life because I felt so much uncertainty about many things. But by the grace of God, I was able to find a loving and caring family that accepted me as one of their own. Something else that also felt like a struggle in my life was adjusting myself and my ways in order to become a better version of Rossy and learning to appreciate the difficult moments and situations life can throw at me. For example, I never thought I would actually get accepted into College. Although as I mentioned previously, I was always studious and did great in school as a kid and in middle school but after going through so many family issues and living in an extremely dysfunctional and unsafe household before I was adopted, all of that started to reflect on my grades. I actually graduated high school later than most people do and I had an average GPA which made me feel incompetent and like I was never going to get accepted into any College.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Financial Services, Retirement Specialist?
I specialize in helping people and businesses prepare for life’s unexpected circumstances. Aside from Term and Permanent Life Insurance, I also offer other financial services such as Annuities, 401K Rollovers, IRA, ROTH IRA, Debt Settlement, Long Term Care and Keyman Policies for business owners amongst many other services. I show people how to set up and use the best untaxed tools many aren’t aware of so they can be able to save for retirement and secure guaranteed income for life even after they have stopped working while leveraging the upside of the market without experiencing loss with the downside of the market. I also offer a new type of life insurance which many are also not aware of. This type of Life Insurance is set up in case of a Chronic. Terminal, Critical Illness or Critical Injury.

Meaning, the primary insured on the policy will have access to a portion of the death benefit so they don’t have to worry about money or medical bills during those hard times. Many only think about what can happen if they pass away but what about if an accident happens? We see it happen every day where people get diagnosed with cancer, have strokes/heart attacks, go into a coma, get into bad cars or accidents, go through major organ transplants, etc… If any of these things took place, the client would be able to claim their living benefits. Through this policy, the client can also let their money accumulate over time tax free, through something called cash value. Lastly, I focus on recruiting new agents, I help them get licensed, train them and teach them how to make extra income and build a successful business in the Financial Services Industry from home. I also target Credit Repair Agents and teach them how they can expand their commissions without having to add new clients to their database. Honestly, just being able to change people’s lives through what I do is what I’m most proud of. It is extremely fulfilling!

What matters most to you?
What matters to me most is keeping a strong relationship with God and my family. Showing others how they can protect their most valuable assets, teaching families how to create generational wealth and impacting others. I truly believe that you don’t really get to make an impact in someone’s life unless you are bringing some type of value to it. My way of impacting my community is by helping, educating and protecting.
