Today we’d like to introduce you to Shandra Mack.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Shandra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve been doing hair since I was 15 years old. I was what people call “a kitchentician.” I would come home from high school with clients waiting to be served. I graduated from high school and went to Atlanta Area Technical School for cosmetology. I think good customer service, being on time, and promptness/not overbooking has assisted with my longevity in the industry. I don’t keep my clients waiting. They are usually in & out. The COVID 19 pandemic slowed things down a bit by having to service one client at a time. I still try to schedule get my clients scheduled within and out service.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road to business ownership has been virtually smooth thanks to prayer, great customer service habits, and even better clients. The only struggles that I have encountered has been the recession of 2008 and the COVID 19 pandemic. Hopefully, I can push through.

I own 718 Hair & Beauty Lounge. We provide all facets of hair care, including extensions, natural hair care, color, wigs & braids. We also provide eyelash and body contouring services in our beautiful suites. I love my team. I’m so blessed to have them. Unlike many other businesses, we don’t keep clients waiting all day for services. We give professional and prompt service.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I am born and raised in Atlanta. I love my city. I hate the traffic.
