Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheila Polstein.
Sheila, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up outside of Asheville, North Carolina. I fell in love with the sky at an early age. My grandfather, who was a farmer used The Farmers Almanac for planting and slaughtering. At 14, my love of Astrology; the stars and metaphysics began.
After school, I decided the corporate world was not for me. I wanted to live what I loved and serve others with my knowledge. With encouragement from my late husband at 30, I became a professional astrologer. I have now been in business for over 23 years.
Unfortunately, I lost my husband unexpectedly in 2009, and this loss drove me deeper in my spiritually. I use the birth chart and my intuition to help guide others to their best life. I absolutely love what I do and feel very grateful to follow my passion everyday.
Has it been a smooth road?
The challenges on the way were with loss. By the age of 17, both my parents were passed, and at the age of 43 I was widowed and a single mom.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am so proud of my work with creating an amazing Center in Buckhead with two other like-minded practitioners. In 2016 we created “The Magical Muses.”
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I feel like Atlanta is much more progressive than what it used to be. When I started in metaphysics 20 years ago, it was more of a curiosity for others. It was also more challenging in the ways of religion; stigma and uneasiness.
I feel like with our openness to more spiritual beliefs like mediation; yoga and healing that Atlanta is a great place to start a Metaphysical practice.
