Meet Theresa Eze of Omalicha Naturelle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Theresa Eze.

Amogechukwu ‘Theresa’ Ezeanyim has known all her life that her passion is hair care. In fact, Theresa’s unique gift of hair care is not just a holistic adventure for everyone who has been a client of this hair professional, but it is also simply her purpose. She is an ardent promoter of why people no matter where they’re from, must embrace the beauty of their natural hair and is delighted to be presenting her new brand, Omalicha Naturelle, which means Beautiful Natural in the Igbo language from her ancestry. Her new line of holistic hair care treatment, products, and solutions, are ready to hit the market.

Being raised in an African household in America, hair care has always been an intricate part of her culture. It became clear in her very early years, that her biggest inspiration was all things hair-related and she accepted, consequently, that being a hairstylist is her destiny. Taking inspiration from her biggest inspiration, Madam CJ Walker, Theresa honed her skills at the Artistic Hair and Beauty Academy in Tampa, FL. The academy not only gave her her degree but also enhanced and implemented her technical knowledge of the principles of hair care and products. It also prepared her for the rigors of the competitive billion dollar hair industry and how she would position herself as she developed her own unique perspective as a hair care professional. Some of her most memorable moments along her journey have been working with various mentors, including James Mack.

Theresa’s position as a Professional Cosmetologist, shifted towards holistic hair care in 2008, when she decided to stop using the harsh chemical based products in her hair care regimen. The products were leaving devastating results and breakage to her scalp and hair, which dramatically affected her outlook. It suddenly clicked that this was also the reason why her clients were having these same issues. She then confirmed soon after, that something needed to change and that she should consider developing her own hair care ingredients. She immediately decided that she needed to shave her head so that she could give herself and her scalp a fresh start. For more than half a decade, Theresa has been working on and formulating her own treatments via trial and error. She is proud to watch her efforts become a reality with her new line of holistic hair care products with Omalicha Naturelle .

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Challenges with capital to build my business has been a little traffic on the way. However, I’m still optimistic and very confident that my business will continue to grow.

I’m known for naturally healthy hair and skin care. Also known as a Master Cosmetologist for 20 years. I mostly proud of being one of the best natural hair care specialist and product formulators currently on the market.
