Meet Tierra Virden of Thrive Media Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tierra Virden.

Tierra, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Creating has always came naturally to me, no matter what. And because of my passion for creating, I was able to help a friend with her web design project and that’s how I got started in web design. It was the Summer of 2016, I just graduated from the University of Alabama with my marketing degree, and my friend contacted me about her frustrations with her website. I told her I’ll take a look at it and see if I can help her in any way that I can. At that moment, I discovered a skill set that I never knew that I had in web design. My creative juices begin to flow naturally with the design and I was able to complete her website within a week. I fell in love with web design during that project and shortly after, I started to receive referrals. Immediately after I started receiving consistent workflow, I thought that it would be wise for me to go and get an education in web design, and I am so glad I did. There was so much to learn and so many hidden skills that I wouldn’t have discovered until I took those courses. Within the next year, I was able to start my small business, now known as, Thrive Media Agency. Since I started my small business, God has truly made a miraculous way in my favor in giving us exposure to building our portfolio and being able to help startups and other small businesses in making their vision come to fruition online.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like every entrepreneur, nothing comes easy when you are in the process of building your business or taking your business to another level. I’ve had my struggles of course, but my biggest struggle has really been time. I can be very impatient sometimes, so to actually have to sit down and go through the courses and master new skills and processes have been a challenge. I’ve learned that longevity doesn’t happen overnight, so, I can’t skip the process. During my journey, I’ve learned to find the positive in every obstacle, every error, and trial because all of it is building me as a leader, as well as, a web designer and developer. Like Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

We are a media agency that specializes in digital marketing, web design, and web development.

Our design and web development department offers quality web designs, e-flyers, logos, motion ads, as well as, making your website work for you. A website is very vital to your business and we put processes in place, as well as, functions within your website to generate more leads into conversions. We’ve grown to learn that a website shouldn’t be only something pretty to look at, but if done correctly, it’ll bring you a lot more business if the designer is knowledgeable in understanding data.
