Hi! I am Tiffany Taylor, and I am a Change Agent! My passion is guiding individuals on a journey of healing and restoration. My professional title is Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I have been in the profession for 16 years. I come from a family who demonstrated and instilled servanthood. My dad, a retired Navy Veteran, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 30 years, worked with individuals with substance abuse as well as Veterans. So, I believe it was only natural that I gravitated towards a career that allowed me to serve others. I attended Clark Atlanta University, where my journey as a Social Worker began.
Throughout the last 16 years, I have been afforded to work in many different facets in the Field of Social Work. My work experiences allowed me to work with so many unique individuals who have been broken and searching for tools to repair their lives. My latest venture has been starting my own private practice, Soul Solutions Therapeutic Services. While being deployed last year in the Middle East, my vision of starting my own counseling practice was placed on my heart. Whenever I am going to make significant decisions in my life, I have a formula: Pray, Process, and then Proceed! So that is precisely what I did; Prayed about it, processed with my village and Proceeded by giving it life and putting it on my 2020 Vision Board at the beginning of the year. Little did I know that this vision would happen so quickly. By the end of February 2020, I was seeing my first clients. Three months later, and I am in awe of how God works as I have a thriving counseling practice despite COVID 19.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
By the grace of GOD, starting my own counseling practice has been an exciting journey for me. I am very blessed because my village includes fellow Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors. They all have their own successful private practices and were willing to mentor and guide me through the process.
Soul Solutions Therapeutic Services – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Soul Solutions Therapeutic Services provides individual, family/couples, and group counseling services in the Henry County, Georgia area. Also, we provide seminars on mental health and self-help topics as well as clinical supervision to upcoming Licensed Clinical Social Workers. We specialize in helping people get unstuck by forming a therapeutic partnership that fosters an environment of healing of the mind, body, and soul. We embrace each individual’s uniqueness as they enter a process of self-discovery and healing. Since every individual is unique, then therapy should cater to the specific needs of the individual, family, and/or couple. We can cater to the needs of the individuals by incorporating different therapeutic practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, structural family therapy, solution-focused, strength-based, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Earlier in my career, success was defined by things that were visible such as financial security, hierarchy, and inclusion/acceptance. Life experience and personal growth have changed that view for me. My definition of success now has more intent and an awakened sense of what it means to be fulfilled. It is based on more of a feeling. Success is defined by being able to fulfill my purpose on earth: to touch other people’s lives and to restore hope. I am successful because I am living my truth, making a difference, and doing what makes me feel fulfilled.
