Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Haynes.
Tim, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started in 2015 after a workout with one of my close friends I was asked to bring him to Savannah, Ga for a casting call for the movie, “The Birth of a Nation.” Once we got there, I was fascinated with the production crew and the process it took to make a movie actually come to life. Luckily, I was granted the opportunity to walk on as an extra, because they were short on casting African American slaves in a few scenes. I then realized I would not be able to do much or be in many shots due to my weight and body tone. I was a little too heavy and cut to play any roles they were looking for. So I was given a big ripped shirt and put in the back of the crowd . Although it wasn’t a role I’d be visible in, it was an amazing experience. I still enjoyed myself and was in awe with the whole process of meeting some of the cast, especially Nat Turner, just the sight of Gabrielle union, to the clothes fitting and lastly, how behind the scenes crew works so well to bring the bigger picture to life. From that day, I knew I wanted to be in front of the camera. I then began the groundwork to get some experience and exposure. I started working and attending every Extra and Modeling Casting Call I could possibly find from Facebook ads, Newspaper articles, and Networking events. Let’s not forget still attending school, being a student-athlete, majoring in physical therapy and a minor in health & wellness, and all while studying to be a certified personal trainer. It often became hard to focus on work and deal with one task at a time.
Has it been a smooth road?
Everyone in life has their own struggles. I looked at mine as a blessing from God. In January of 2017, I was hit with an obstacle I thought I wouldn’t be able to overcome. One day during practice, I had an accident. I tore multiple ligaments in my left knee. Such as my Acl, LCL, PCL, hamstring, and left biceps in my thigh. Leaving me with 13 hours of surgery, four screws in my knee, and a donor lateral collateral ligament. Honestly, this situation sent me into a depressed state of mind because I wasn’t able to do what I love or take it to the next level which I’ve always dreamed of. My injury guided me to take my own physical rehabilitation very serious which later helped me build a love for helping people make their life and body transformation. Today I take my injury and the lost of cousin with me as motivation, being that I wasn’t supposed to run, let alone walk again and also my cousins drive, work ethic, and hustle to better himself and his families situation. It put me in a hustle state of mind; after these sequences of events I told myself it was straight gas no brakes when it comes to me and my craft. Even though I was knocked down time after time it was always my obligation to keep it rolling.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Time’s Ticking Training – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.

What are you most proud of as a company?
I am most proud of my ability to get back up once I hit a wall and also my persistence to continue knocking once a door is closed on me. “Keep Rolling” is what I tell myself.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Atlanta is one of the upcoming Areas for production. When I say production, I mean everything from Acting, modeling, music, art, the list goes on and on. I didn’t really speak much coming into this industry. Stayed to myself with my small circle of friends which turned into family DopeDreams. I soon came to realize Networking is key with the help of my Cuz Jerome, who opened a door for me and I haven’t looked back since. . I have networked with some amazing people from designers, actors, Show coordinators, directors and other models like myself. One person I can speak out on is fashion designer Marion Boyd. Great mentor @upfronturbanstreetstyle
What I like least about Atlanta is that the city is so big but it seems to me that everyone is in competition. Do not get me wrong I’m born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. One of the grimmest jungles there is, but we like to see the “home team” win. There is one thing about Atlanta I’ve realized is the “home-team is the people who are wishing the worst for you.
