Hi Timafei, so great to have you join us again. For folks who might have missed our earlier conversations, can you please take a minute to briefly introduce yourself?
Hello from the West Midtown of Atlanta! I am Timafei Dolinyak aka Tima Fei, Artist, Producer and DJ. Also, at the moment, am studying fashion as a client advisor at Louis Vuitton Lenox. Music and fashion always went hand in hand for me.

Your career in the music world is quite long, 20 years. How have your hobbies, your idols in music changed during this time, how have your personal image and style changed?
I moved to Chicago from Ukraine in the late 90s and the world of music opened up for me there and then. The resources and opportunities in America gave me the chance and tools to start my DJ career. During the beginning stages, I played lots of Euro in my sets, which helped to open doors for me at many world-famous nightclubs and festivals. That’s where I met quite a few of my idols, who continue to inspire me to this day. I felt I connected with them on a personal level and I was able to progress in my career in part thanks to all that I learned from them. Today, I feel more mature, as is my music.

What motivates you to create new music themes?
Music was always a part of my DNA. When this part of me is combined with thinking about my audience, I am inspired to create. Sometimes it’s difficult to find a balance between daily jobs and creativity. However, I feel that music relaxes out minds, brings out our emotions, charges our souls and that’s also what motivates for me.

How do you manage to combine fashion and music, both of these muses require a lot of attention to themselves and professionalism?
My relationship between music and fashion is one of mutual creativity. Mutual influences have led me to some of the most dynamic visualizations of clothing and sound in the history of pop culture. Being involved in the fashion industry for many years, elements of color, shape, classic styles and new fashion trends helped me find new musical themes. That is how to stay connected with the modern listener.

In your opinion, does music affect a person’s life and does each of us need it?
Data on the amount of time spent listening to music in the United States revealed that consumers spent an average of 35 hours per week enjoying their favorite tunes. That’s a lot of time – more than ever before. I believe that music can do a lot of good, but can it really “heal the world”? To me it is obvious that music is needed by humans. I would even strongly suggest that the world of medicine use music as a method of healing. I am for music and its healing properties!

What is more important: making music that you like yourself, or that everyone will like?
In the creative world, when I produce something I always do it with love. I make music that is interesting to me and I noticed that it ends up finding its way to its destined listener.

Given the opportunity to travel to the past or the future, who would you choose to become?
At the moment I see my future self working in my own studio while my sound is famous for its frequencies and progressions. Also, I will have the smartest, most beautiful listeners: my fans! I will continue to be happy!

Thank you so much again for sharing all of this with us. Before we go, can you share with our readers how they can connect with you, learn more or show support?
