Meet Trailblazer Rachel G Woodson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel G Woodson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Rachel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After a very toxic relationship, I found myself depressed and suicidal. This was a life I knew I was purposed to live. In 2011, I asked God to help me and if he helped me, I’d live my life helping others. During a fast, I begin to write down things to help me heal. Because when you look like you’re okay, people just walk past you as if you are okay. No one identified with my hurt. I would sing praise and worship and people would tell me how anointed I was, but I’d go home depressed. In 2013, I took to social media to inspire others through a Facebook post. Before I knew it, people were reaching out to me for help, they were calling me a life coach and relationship expert. I then started taking on clients. Word of mouth spread like wildfire. By 2017, I was internationally coaching and mentoring people and celebrities through life’s difficulties. Now, I see roughly 19 clients a day, via phone and Skype. From self-love coaching, family interventions, to purpose mentoring. Since God has given me life, I am living up to my vow to help others.

Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth roads aren’t success roads if you ask me… lol. I always tell my clients about how I started doing this and the people around me thought I picked a crazy career. I would get feedback like, “Girl, black people don’t talk about their problems!” “Girl, you are what? Lol, that isn’t even a job.” See back then it wasn’t as popular as it is now. Now, you have people who get 100 likes on an IG post and boom, they are coaches. I tell my women all the time that if you want to help others or be successful in your purpose lane, great! However, be self successful first! Love yourself and heal first! You can properly help anyone if you haven’t healed from your hurt and dysfunction. Some people want to help others with their issues because it makes them forget about theirs. You want to impact and help people from a healed place. You are more effective that way, your brand will develop longevity, that way. Get a mentor and have someone help you prepare for your success journey. Lastly, never stop learning so you never stop growing.

We’d love to hear more about Rachel G & Co. LLC.
My company motto is, “I help people heal to love again.”

I’ll give you a walkthrough of my business day. From 8 am- sometimes 7:30 pm, I am on the phone having 20-60 minutes sessions. I have clients that are single, healing from their past, and learning how to date properly. I have clients that are married and going through a rough patch, so we are getting them back on track. I have mentees(some were once relationship) who are now healed and want to start a movement to help other people. Or people who just say they need me in their life to help balance them through life. I do a lot and I can’t find one that brings me more joy, but it’s nothing like saving a marriage from divorce. Or helping a family love each other again. From what I’m told, my realness sets me apart from others. The fact that I have a strong relationship with God but I’m not so biblical that people can’t relate to me. I let my light shine without dimming my clients light.

What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
Don’t start a career for money. Find something you are passionate about. Because the cliche is so true, “ when you find something you love to do, you’ll never work another day in your life.” Also, be fearless and do what makes you happy! Live your career life for you and do NOT allow people to change your destiny!! When you lay down at night, you may not have completed every task. You may have messed up, but it’s your mess-ups. You are the scientist to your life, don’t give up, but re-event your will and keep going!
