Meet Zuly Linet of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zuly Linet.

Hi Zuly , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up, I was always surrounded by the beauty industry because my mom’s sisters were hairstylists. Some of my earliest memories are of being in the salon while they worked, watching them interact with clients, create transformations, and make people feel more confident about themselves. Being exposed to that environment from such a young age naturally made me fall in love with hair and beauty.

At the same time, I was always drawn to art and creativity. I loved drawing, painting, and mixing colors. When I was younger, I won several competitions through the National PTA Reflections program, and having my artwork displayed in a national exhibit at such a young age was a very special experience for me. Looking back, I realize creativity played a huge role in leading me into hairstyling because it allows me to combine artistry, creativity, and personal connection in one career.

As I got older, that passion only continued to grow. I knew I wanted to pursue something creative where I could connect with people and help them feel their best. I graduated from Paul Mitchell The School Esani in 2020, and since then, I’ve continued investing in my education to elevate my skills and grow both creatively and professionally. Working in different salons throughout the years also helped shape my skills, experience, and vision for what I wanted Zuly Salon to become.

Last year, I went through a transformative period in my life that pushed me to reflect on who I was and what I wanted for myself. During that time, I fully focused on my personal growth and career, which ultimately inspired me to start Zuly Salon in late 2025.

I named Zuly Salon after myself because I wanted it to feel personal and genuine. I wanted to create an environment that feels warm, authentic, and reflective of who I am as both a person and an artist.

I’ve always believed hair can be transformative while still reflecting someone’s individuality and personal style, whether that’s soft and natural or bold and dramatic. I especially love working on color transformations and customized looks because I enjoy helping people feel more confident while still feeling like themselves.

What motivates me most is seeing the happiness and confidence my clients leave with after their appointments. I’m still learning, growing, and evolving every day, and I’m excited to continue building Zuly Salon and seeing where this journey takes me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting my business came from having confidence in my vision and knowing I wanted to create something that felt authentic to me. Even so, the journey hasn’t been completely smooth. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing the creative side of being a hairstylist with the responsibilities that come with running a business. There’s so much that happens behind the scenes besides doing hair, and learning how to manage both has been a major part of my growth.

Another challenge has been learning to trust the process and give myself grace during slower seasons or moments of uncertainty. Building a business, growing a clientele, and continuing to evolve as an artist all take time. I’ve invested a lot into my education and skills throughout the years, and every experience has helped shape me into a stronger stylist and business owner.

Looking back, I think every challenge has taught me something valuable and pushed me to continue growing both personally and professionally. Those experiences have also helped me become more intentional about the experience I want my clients to have when they sit in my chair.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a hairstylist and the owner of Zuly Salon, where I focus on creating customized color and extension services that help my clients feel confident while still looking and feeling like themselves. I specialize in blonding, balayage, reverse balayage, color corrections, and hair extensions. I love creating transformations that are seamless, dimensional, and tailored specifically to each client’s features, lifestyle, and hair goals.

One thing I’m especially known for is taking a very personalized approach with my clients. I believe beautiful hair starts with healthy hair, so I focus not only on the final result but also on maintaining the integrity of the hair throughout the process. I also take the time to educate my clients and create realistic plans that work best for their hair long-term.

What I’m most proud of is building a business and brand that feels authentic to who I am. I’ve invested a lot into continuing my education and growing my skills as an artist, and it means a lot to see clients trust me with their confidence and continue coming back. Creating a space where people feel comfortable, heard, and taken care of is very important to me.

I think what sets me apart is the level of care and intention I put into both my work and the client experience. I truly value building genuine relationships with my clients and creating results that feel customized rather than one size fits all.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is creating work that feels authentic and meaningful while helping people feel confident in themselves. I’ve always believed that hair is more than just appearance it can completely change the way someone feels when they look in the mirror. Being able to make people feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

I also care deeply about creating genuine connections with my clients and building an environment where people feel welcomed and understood. For me, success isn’t just about growing a business; it’s about building trust, continuing to grow as an artist, and creating an experience that leaves people feeling good both inside and out.

Another thing that matters a lot to me is staying true to myself and my vision. I started Zuly Salon because I wanted to create something that felt authentic to who I am, and I think that authenticity is what allows me to connect with people in a genuine way.
