Rising Stars: Meet Alisha Bright of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alisha Bright.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been journaling and writing stories for as long as I can remember. After going through a time of much change and uncertainty, I started writing the I Love Me journals. I wanted more from my career. I was stressed as a mother and I was working as a nurse during Covid. There were so many areas in which I wanted to elevate, but I couldn’t seem to press forward. I had the education. I had the experience. And, my daughter was thriving but I still felt inadequate and unworthy. My therapist suggested I started writing daily affirmations to myself. The first I Love Me Guided Journal contains all of the affirmations I wrote to myself for a a month. I began to change my inner voice. Speaking kindly to myself gave me the confidence to go after what I wanted. Today I am hoping to improve the inner voice of every person that I touch.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest struggle for me has been not letting my negative inner voice get in the way of building the I Love Me brand. Writing affirmations and thoughtful prompts require a level of vulnerability that is sometimes uncomfortable.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am known for encouraging others and I am very proud of that but sometimes the encourager needs encouraging. I create and desgin stationery products which include guided journals, notebooks and pens that encourage positive self talk.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My faith, my purpose and my family matters most to me. Without God,the ultimate Creator ,I would not be able to create. Living a purpose-filled life allows me to be an example of transition and evolution while leaving a legacy for my family.
