Rising Stars: Meet Cameron Gelin of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Gelin.

Hi Cameron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a 26 year old first-generation Haitian American from Florida. I studied Information Technology and moved to Atlanta after graduation to start working in the financial technology industry. I’ve always had a knack for tech, starting from my first console, the Nintendo Gamecube. I started dabbling into content creation during my junior year of college and took it further when I moved to Atlanta, showcasing life in the city, things to do, places to go, and dropping educational content for those navigating early career. I’ve grown to over 15,000 followers on Instagram and have becoming one of the “go-to’s” for what’s happening in ATL and around the tech industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, moving on my own to ATL was scary at first but I decided to embrace the change by going out and networking with other young professionals like me. Beltline runs with Atlanta Run Club on Mondays and Piedmont Park workouts with Hills4ATL on Wednesdays are just some of the places where I’ve met many of the peers. Creating content also isn’t a skill you’re born with. Posting consistently and figuring out what works (for me, everyone has a different creation angle) as a creator is a conscious and self-discovering journey that I continue to walk. But keeping in mind that the ONLY way to get better, is to continue forward, has continued to prove fruitful.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a technology & lifestyle content creator. In the ever-changing world of tech, I keep my audience in the know of what’s going on daily & weekly with AI, consumer tech, and industry changes. I also bring them along to how I spend my 20s-somethings in ATL, from events, music, socials, and anything that might pop up.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
