Rising Stars: Meet Jointdexter of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jointdexter.

Hi Jointdexter, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I realized my passion for music at 8 years old and grew up writing songs and poetry. I didn’t pursue this as a full time career until my 20s and now at 30 years old I’m closer to so many goals that were just dreams many years ago.
I think it’s amazing how much I still love creating even after all these years. I love being an artist I love performing I love connecting with others through music!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been easy ,for me, as it is now in this new era of music. I didn’t grow up in the smart phone era so I didn’t have as much access to tools back then as I do today. I also used to struggle expressing myself to other people growing up but as an artist that’s what everyone is looking for from you. I’ve grown to be more comfortable sharing who I am and displaying who I want to be.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Alternate Hip-Hop Artist known for Unique flows, Introspective Lyricism, and Energetic Fun Music.

I am proud of the Many stages I’ve touched such as Believe Music Hall, ATL Hip Hop Day Music Festival, Sweet Auburn Fest and many more. I am also proud that I’ve worked with some of my favorite artist like Kantii, Dude Dynamik, Y0$#! and a few others but I don’t want to make the list too long.

My authenticity is what sets me apart from my peers. I’m truly 1 of 1.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is to make a positive impact with my music and help people change their vibrations through hard times. Music is my favorite tool to help uplift people’s frequency.
