Rising Stars: Meet Mia Isabel Carrasco of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Isabel Carrasco.

Hi Mia Isabel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the film and music industry didn’t happen overnight. Growing up, I wanted to be a dancer. Up until I was ten, I wanted to be a singer. And then when I was thirteen, I wanted to draw. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that, though my interests have changed, each one was all an excuse to tell a visual story. Eventually, once I stopped singing, dancing, and drawing, I channeled that foundational passion into a professional career. Now at 19, I balance my academic study of film and television with my professional work as a producer and my work in marketing and logistics in the live events and music industry. Whether I’m producing high-concept projects or managing the complex logistics of a music festival operation, I thrive at the intersection of creative storytelling and organization. My path has been defined by that early urge to create, and today, I am dedicated to using that same passion.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been some challenges in my journey so far, primarily due to the need to operate at a professional level while also navigating college life. Managing complex, high-stakes work while also meeting academic deadlines requires extreme discipline and time management, for sure. Additionally, maintaining consistent outputs, such as producing multiple projects at the same time, often involves navigating logistical challenges and tight turnaround times. Still, these challenges have only strengthened my ability to execute complex projects under pressure. I appreciate the challenges I am given and continue to learn and grow from each one.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I take ideas and turn them into logistical realities. I am known for managing projects at Fairdot Studios that consist of marketing, music videos, or short-form content. As well as Crosswire, a music festival based here in Atlanta. I am most proud of my ability to execute high-stakes productions and marketing strategies. My ability to pair technical creative skills with organization and management sets me apart from others in the industry.

What makes you happy?
When it comes to work, I am happiest when I successfully translate an idea into reality. Whether that’s through a music video or a live event experience, I find satisfaction in the creative organizational process. Being able to support the development of each project I work on is so fulfilling, and I love watching a dream become something real. However, in my personal life, I value the fruits of my work. I enjoy going to live events, being with friends and family, and overall going out and seeing new things. As a New Yorker, moving to Atlanta has been a whole new experience for me. The cities are so different, and I love exploring Atlanta. Similar to home, there is always something to do.
