Rising Stars: Meet Tee’Kupp TaTaLe of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tee’Kupp TaTaLe.

Hi Tee’Kupp, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As soon as I learned how to form a poem, I knew immediately music was my passion! I’m originally from South Carolina. I moved to Atlanta straight out of high school and been recording and writing music ever since. Since making music I’ve been able to produce 1 mixtape, 3 albums, and plenty of singles and music videos! I’m also featured on Diamonds of Atlanta TV Show!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth sailing for this Mermaid and definitely ran into some obstacles due to this industry being male dominated. There were plethora of times I felt like my music was pushed back due to me not being willing to be intimate with a few men in the industry. If keeping my dignity meant taking a little longer for my success, I didn’t mind the wait at all!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an artist, and I mean that overall!! I write and perform my music. I consider myself a Mermaid and I portray that in my style. I’m a real colorful person and I show that in my photoshoots and videos! Which is something that I’m known for! Of course this industry can get expensive so I’m also a MUA! Something I love doing because I can express myself through style while promoting myself at the same time!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was always into the arts! I loved to draw or paint alot. I also wanted to be around music ALL THE TIME. If I wasn’t listening to music I would be making my own music. I use to play the piano and the drums and enjoyed remixing the hottest songs that were out! I loved to dance and was always the life and main attraction of every party!
