We’re looking forward to introducing you to Ashly Garcia. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Ashly, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Mornings are sacred to me—they set the rhythm for everything that follows. I begin with prayer, grounding myself in gratitude and asking God to guide my steps. It’s the quiet pause before the world stirs, a moment where faith comes first.
Next, I take a walk with my dog, Leo. He has a way of reminding me to slow down and breathe, and those early steps outside—often accompanied by gospel music in my ears—feel like both worship and wellness. The melodies lift my spirit, creating a soundtrack of encouragement before the day truly begins.
On school days, my focus shifts to my daughter. I make sure she’s ready, centered, and prepared to take on her own day with confidence. Motherhood is one of my greatest callings, and helping her start strong matters to me.
Before diving into work, I carve out one last ritual: a pistachio espresso. It’s my signature cup, equal parts comfort and energy, a little indulgence that says, “today will be good.”
In just ninety minutes, I’ve touched all the pillars of my life—faith, family, wellness, and joy. It’s a rhythm I’ve come to protect, because when my mornings start this way, I feel aligned, purposeful, and ready for whatever the day holds.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Ashly “Sunny” Garcia is a visionary entrepreneur, lash educator, and community builder based in Huntsville, Alabama. As the founder of Sunny Lashes, she has spent years empowering women through beauty—offering premium lash services, education, and business mentorship to aspiring lash artists nationwide. Her passion has always been bigger than beauty alone: it’s about helping women step into confidence, independence, and possibility.
Now, Sunny is expanding her impact with her newest endeavor, The Soft Lyfe. Born from her belief that wellness and intentional living should feel as luxurious as they are nourishing, The Soft Lyfe curates elevated experiences—like Pilates sessions, Porsche partnerships, tastings, and floral activations—that merge sophistication with community. It’s more than an event series; it’s a mindset that invites women to slow down, pour into themselves, and embrace a lifestyle of ease and elegance.
Whether she’s curating a wellness event, mentoring a new lash artist, or walking her dog Leo with a cup of pistachio espresso in hand, Sunny embodies balance: faith, family, business, and beauty woven seamlessly together. Through every endeavor, she continues to inspire women to build lives that feel as good as they look.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Before I was a mother, an entrepreneur, or the woman people see today, God already saw me—clearly, completely, and with purpose. He knew my heart, my gifts, and even the challenges I would walk through long before I understood them myself. While the world can be slow to recognize who you are or quick to put labels on you, God’s vision has always been steady.
That truth has carried me through every season—when I was overlooked, underestimated, or still figuring out my own path. God reminded me that my worth was never tied to what others saw in me but to the identity He placed within me. Every prayer, every quiet morning, every new chapter in my life has been shaped by His hand.
Today, as I pour into women through Sunny Lashes and create intentional wellness spaces with The Soft Lyfe, I carry that same clarity with me. I know that my vision doesn’t have to be validated by anyone else—it was already seen, blessed, and affirmed by the One who created me. That’s where my confidence comes from, and it’s the foundation of everything I build.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has challenged me the most is the fear of not being enough—of stepping boldly into my calling and wondering if I had what it truly takes. As a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur, there have been moments where self-doubt whispered louder than confidence. Questions like, Am I ready? Am I qualified? Will they support me? often tried to stand in the way of my vision.
But what I’ve learned is that fear is rarely about the world outside of us—it’s about the limits we place on ourselves. Once I stopped measuring myself against others and started leaning into God’s vision for my life, that fear began to lose its grip. Each time I chose faith over fear, I discovered that I was not only “enough,” I was chosen for exactly this.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes—for the most part, what people see is truly who I am. The joy, the energy, the love for beauty, wellness, and community—that’s all authentic. I’ve always believed in showing up as myself, whether I’m leading a lash course, hosting a Soft Lyfe event, or simply sharing pieces of my journey online. What you see publicly reflects my heart to empower and inspire.
That said, I’m also very intentional about sacred and safe spaces. Not every part of me is meant to be on display, and I think that’s important. There are layers of my life—my quiet moments with God, the depth of my prayers, the soft spaces I hold for my daughter, and the parts of my healing journey—that I protect. Those are the spaces where I refill, reflect, and reconnect with my truest self.
So while the public version of me is real, the private version is rooted. Both matter, and together they allow me to live in alignment—open enough to inspire others, but grounded enough to preserve the parts of me that need to remain sacred.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
Peace for me lives in the simplest, most intentional moments. I feel it most when I’m sitting with my Bible, taking my time with the Word instead of rushing through it. Those slow mornings—when the world is still quiet and I can move at my own pace—remind me to breathe, to listen, and to truly anchor myself in God’s presence before the day begins.
I also find deep peace in being fully present with my daughter. Whether it’s our morning routine, a conversation over coffee and breakfast, or simply laughing together, those moments are sacred. They remind me that peace isn’t always found in grand gestures but in the gift of connection and presence.
In those spaces—scripture open, morning light pouring in, or my daughter by my side—I feel whole. It’s in the stillness and the presence that my spirit settles, and I’m reminded of what truly matters: faith, family, and the beauty of simply being here.
