Story & Lesson Highlights with Cierra Empress Wilson of Atlanta

Cierra Empress Wilson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Cierra Empress, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Working on my podcast for inspiration to the people of poverty and the people thats not popular.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Empress Cierra Wilson, and I am a multi-passionate entrepreneur with a heart for service and transformation. I am the founder and owner of Na’ava Janitorial & Cleaning Services, but my work goes far beyond cleaning — everything I build is rooted in purpose, healing, and helping people improve their lives.

I’m an author, herbalist, consultant, life development expert, children’s advocate, public speaker, and wellness creator. What makes my journey unique is that none of these titles were planned — they were birthed from life experience, from healing my own wounds, and from a genuine desire to give back. I’ve always been taught to serve others, with or without a business, because you never know who God places in your path or how you may impact their life.

My brand stands out because my businesses don’t just “offer services” — they offer care. Na’ava Janitorial provides budget-friendly options for seniors, loyalty rewards for our MVP clients, and a standard of integrity that’s rare in this industry. And as an entrepreneur, everything I touch has the same heart: helping people grow, heal, or find comfort. From co-authoring my son’s book The Butterfly Transformation, to creating herbal teas, to leading workshops for children and assisted living communities — my purpose is to leave every person I meet better than I found them. I have a podcast called ” True Healing Success on youtube you can check out as well.

Right now, I’m expanding into courses, coaching programs, and wellness products that support personal development and emotional healing. I believe in using every gift God gave me. I’m still learning as I grow, but I’m enjoying the journey — and I hope my story inspires others to step into their purpose, even if it leads them down multiple paths.”

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The first person who saw me clearly before I could see myself was my grandmother. She helped raise me, and she carried a light that never dimmed, no matter what she faced. She was different — a woman whose spirit glowed, whose presence felt like protection, and whose prayers covered all her babies. I had a praying grandmother who didn’t play about her family, especially me.

She used to tell me, long before I understood it, that I was meant for greatness. I remember telling her I wanted to act, model and dance. She said I wouldn’t grow into a model, an actress, or a dancer. Not because of fame or attention, but because she saw the gift, the confidence, and the creativity inside me. But she also warned me that those industries wouldn’t appreciate my heart. She told me I was too good, too pure, and too purpose-filled to be in spaces that didn’t value good people.

At the time, I didn’t fully understand what she meant, but now I see she was positioning my path. She was preparing me to use my talents in ways that aligned with my integrity, my spirit, and God’s calling on my life. Everything I am today, an entrepreneur, a healer, a creator and a leader connected to the seeds she planted.

My grandmother saw the Empress in me before I ever recognized her myself. And to this day, her words, her light, and her prayers still guide every step I take.”

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
“The fear that held me back the most in my life wasn’t failure — it was being misunderstood. I spent years trying to understand why the world seemed to make me wait longer than others who were chasing the same goals. I didn’t realize at the time that when you carry something different, something divine, life has to shape you in a different way.

Growing up, I often had people around me who didn’t understand the way my mind worked. They didn’t get my ideas, my vision, or the way I saw life. Instead of supporting me, some belittled me, dismissed me, or labeled me because they couldn’t comprehend what I carried. Rumors were created, lies were spread, and opinions about me traveled farther than the truth ever did — and most of the time, I didn’t even know until later.

As a young person, that kind of treatment can shake you. Not because you believe what people say, but because it triggers a silent battle within yourself. You start asking, Why would they think that? How could they do that? Did I do something wrong? You begin searching for reasons to justify someone else’s fear, jealousy, or discomfort with who you are.

But the older I got, the more I realized that life itself is the greatest teacher. Every challenge, every misunderstanding, every delay, and every betrayal taught me something about who I really am. Life showed me my strength. It revealed my purpose. It made me aware of the power I carry — a power that was never meant to fit in or be accepted by everyone.

I learned that sometimes people are cruel simply because they recognize your potential before you do. Sometimes they fear what you bring to the table because it exposes what they refuse to develop within themselves.

Today, I no longer fear being misunderstood. I embrace it. I’ve learned that every battle was building me, every delay was preparing me, and every painful moment was pushing me closer to my true identity.

Now I walk boldly in my purpose with confidence, clarity, and a joyful attitude. I don’t shrink, I don’t question whether I’m worthy, and I don’t apologize for the way God designed me.

Because the truth is the fear that once held me back taught me to stand up taller. And now I’m unstoppable.” “FACE EVERYTHING AND RAISE”.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
“One of the biggest beliefs I held on to that I later realized was a lie was ‘fake it till you make it.’ Society teaches you to pretend you have things you don’t, live a lifestyle that’s not real, or present an image that isn’t true to who you are. But all that does is set you up to lose your integrity. When you fake anything long enough, eventually you get exposed, not because you’re a bad person, but because pretending is exhausting. It creates labels that harm you, it breaks trust, and it traps you in a cycle of trying to live up to something that was never real in the first place. You end up living for people who don’t care about you, instead of walking boldly in your truth.

The second belief was the old saying, ‘hard work pays off.’ For me, that wasn’t always true. Working hard without direction, without rest, and without joy can drain you, break you down, and even damage your health. You can work yourself into exhaustion chasing results, only to wake up and realize you never had the time or energy to enjoy your life. Sometimes working harder just creates more work. Not more peace, not more freedom, and not more satisfaction.

What I believe now is simple: love what you do, and enjoy what you are doing. That’s where real success lives. When you do things that make you happy not what pleases others. Your spirit stays light, your creativity flows, and your blessings multiply.

And most importantly, I’ve learned to speak boldly into the atmosphere. I command what I want. I declare what I’m building. I set my intentions with confidence. Because when you move with authenticity and joy, instead of pretending or overworking, the right opportunities start coming to you.” So claim it.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
“When my time on this earth is done, I hope people tell the truth about who I really was a woman who loved deeply, gave endlessly, and rose above everything that tried to break her. I hope they say that I was a light in dark places, that I made people feel seen, valued, and encouraged when the world overlooked them.

I hope the story they tell is that I lived with purpose, not perfection. I wasn’t afraid to grow, to evolve, or to walk away from anything that didn’t honor my spirit. I pray they say I was someone who used her gifts to help others unlock their own potential, someone who believed in dreams even when life made it hard to believe in herself.

I want people to remember that I was a mother who showed her son the world, a leader who opened doors for others, and a healer who poured into people even while she was still healing herself. I hope they speak on how I served my community, how I gave back without expecting anything in return, and how I treated everyone from strangers to clients all with kindness and respect.

Most of all, I hope they say that Empress walked this earth with courage. That I stood firm in my faith, trusted God through every season, and kept going when others would have stopped.

I want the story of my life to be a reminder that you can come from anything, endure anything, and still create a legacy of compassion, transformation, and greatness. I want them to say that I didn’t just change my own life I inspired others to believe they could change theirs too.”
