Story & Lesson Highlights with Classy Streetz

We recently had the chance to connect with Classy Streetz and have shared our conversation below.

Classy, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I always feel like I’m wandering, constantly dreaming, searching for more, unsure which path is truly “the path.” There are so many things I want to do, but it feels like time is slipping away faster every day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m just an average girl, working a full-time job and trying to get by. When I’m not working, I enjoy painting urban landscapes on canvas, though lately, it feels like pulling teeth. I also get my thrills painting spiders in dark, abandoned places where no one will probably ever see them. I seek out things that make my heart race. I like to think of myself as a compassionate vandal. I like the art of breaking things open–not to destroy but to let the light in.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I believe I was sunlight and untamed laughter, dirt under my nails, and joy without restraint. No masks, no molds—just raw essence and a wild heart.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You’ll get through this, I promise. Monsters do exist but not everyone is a monster. Some people might try to bring you down and make you feel unworthy, but later in life, you’ll feel the protection and strength you deserve. Love, peace, and moments of happiness will come your way. Stay true to yourself above all else, because you matter. Speak your truth boldly and never hold back. You will grow up to be somebody you can be proud of.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I like to think this is the real me, but I often come across as a paradox. I can appear intimidating and aggressive, always on a quest for justice I can never seem to find, yet inside, I’m just a soft, bleeding heart.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I grew up in a deeply religious environment where everything felt very black-and-white—light and dark, good and bad. I’ve come to realize that life is too short, sometimes far too short. We’re here today and could be gone tomorrow, so every moment counts. I try to leave traces of my existence in people’s hearts through my therapy practice and on city walls whenever I get the chance.
