We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sean Wiltz & Alfred Harris. Check out our conversation below.
Sean & Alfred , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time I felt pure joy was when I watched my kids achieve their goals. Each time they reach a milestone, whether big or small, it fills me with immense pride and happiness. Their hard work and dedication inspire me every day, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to see them thrive. Those moments remind me of the importance of perseverance and commitment, and I cherish being a part of their journey as they grow and pursue their dreams. It’s a daily reminder of the joy that comes from supporting and witnessing the accomplishments of loved ones..
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alfred Harris, and I’m one of the co-founders of Game Fusion Events, alongside my partner Sean Wiltz. Our mission is to provide a convenient, affordable, and customizable gaming and party experience for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. What sets us apart from other companies in this space is our ability to set up a complete party experience that includes not only video gaming but also board games and outdoor activities, offering unlimited options for our clients.
We are dedicated to continuously improving our services and expanding our reach by partnering with schools, nonprofit organizations, corporations, and community groups. The idea for Game Fusion Events was born from a passion for gaming and the desire to create memorable experiences for people. After months of brainstorming and planning, we launched the company, and we’re excited to be developing new ideas and concepts every day. Our commitment to innovation and community engagement makes us unique, and we look forward to building lasting relationships through the joy of gaming.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Before I could see my own potential, it was my parents, teachers, and coaches who recognized and nurtured it. They saw my abilities and strengths even when I was unsure of myself. My parents provided unwavering support and encouragement, always believing in me and pushing me to pursue my passions. My teachers inspired me to explore my interests and challenged me to reach higher. Coaches played a crucial role in my development as well, guiding me to discover my strengths and work on my weaknesses. These individuals not only believed in me but also helped shape my journey, instilling the confidence I needed to recognize and realize my potential. I am incredibly grateful for their insights and support, as they laid the foundation for my growth and success.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, I would say: ‘You don’t have to have it all figured out right now. Trust yourself, keep learning, and every challenge you face will shape you into someone stronger and wiser than you imagine.’
I think it’s easy when we’re younger to put pressure on ourselves to have everything perfectly planned. Looking back, I’d want to reassure myself that growth takes time, and it’s okay to make mistakes along the way, that’s where a lot of confidence and resilience comes from.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I think my closest friends would say that family really matters to me. They know that no matter how busy life gets, I always make time to stay connected with and support my family. It’s something that keeps me grounded and motivates me to work hard, because I value creating stability and opportunities for the people I care about most.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I would stop stressing and worrying about things I can’t control. I’ve learned that so much energy can be lost on overthinking situations instead of focusing on what’s actually within my power to change. Letting go of that stress would allow me to spend more time on meaningful work, relationships, and experiences that truly matter.
