Hi Barbie La Vie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have been writing poetry since nine years old, singing since I was 11, Writing full-blown songs and rapping as well since I was 15 but I didn’t take it serious til I was about 29, that’s when I started to educate myself on the music industry more and I knew that being on stage was something I always wanted to do… I called it quits at my job to pursue my music full time in December of 2020… I had an epiphany after contracting Covid-19 in December when I realized my life was spared I said, God most certainly didn’t save me to work this slave ship of a job so I ventured out into the entrepreneurial journey to truly do and stick to what I love… today I face a few struggles but it doesn’t shake my faith in the higher power or my faith in me I’m not stopping till I get the level of success I truly deserve.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
First-year many blessings and opportunities came my way it was smooth sailing for the most part, going into the second year I am facing a few financial struggles but I’m going to figure it out because it’s what I do.

I am a singer/rapper/songwriter Performing and Recording Artist… I wear those titles proudly because I do well in all those areas of the Artistry… I talk about life experiences in my music but I also push positive messages that cater to self-love and body positivity, I also have feel-good music, party music, love/heartbreak, etc. I have merchandise and coloring books that contain lyrics to my biggest song “Body Positivity” currently trending on TikTok with over 13K people using my sound.
