During his tenure he worked with Large Public and Private clients in the Automotive, Health Care, and Consumer Banking Industries. Some notable areas De’Mario has worked on include Financial Reporting, Internal and External Financial Statement Audits, SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) Control Audits, Process Improvement for Receivables, Payables, and Payroll. Since, De’Mario has shifted his focus to help individuals and businesses reach financial success using his expertise.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would have to say the road has not been smooth but I embrace the challenge of being a business owner because with overcoming these challenges you reach true growth. I would recommend to anyone starting their journey to start now and embrace the process to reach your goals.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into De’Mario Black, CPA story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a certified public accountant (CPA) and I specialize in Accounting, Tax, and Audit services. One thing that sets my business apart from others is that I am a minority run firm with a CPA license which is only represented by less than 1% of all CPA’s. Another is I take the time to educate my clients who are not as financially savvy on my services, doing this allows clients to really understand how their business is operating financially.

Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
My advice would be to go to every networking event you can and soak as much information as possible from these events. This will broaden your network and help you obtain mutual beneficial relationships. Also, find a mentor in your field, this should be an individual who is already successful and can mentor you to reach your goals.
