As a group of Atlanta natives all living and working in different facets of the New York fashion industry, we decided to create a vision of our ideal luxury retail experience might look like for our hometown. Utilizing insight from our own backgrounds we noticed a sizable gap in the diversity of high-level retail experiences offered. In our travels across the globe, we have seen the worlds of cuisine, fashion and nightlife collide, creating not just an experience but a true lifestyle. Our mission with Residence is to offer a new conduit of culture and to redefine luxury for Atlanta.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There are quite a few unique challenges in launching such an ambitious and progressive concept in a smaller market. For instance, as we intend to offer a unique curation of the world’s best contemporary and emerging luxury ready to wear brands in a truly unconventional location outside of normal shopping district to create a true destination location.
In order to achieve this goal, we must continually invest in the education of our prospective audience. This learning curve in addition to the sheer cost of an elevated setting outside of a typical target demographical area to match has increased the length of time to push our space to the market.
However, we are dedicated to offering an unparalleled accessible luxury experience for all Atlantans. Properly testing our concept in an integral part of its future success.
RESIDENCE – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Residence is a mixed-use luxury retail concept that encompasses the realms of fashion, cuisine and nightlife.
Offering a welcoming environment where consumers can relax, socialize and enjoy fast fresh cuisine and beverages while exploring a curated unisex offering of the best emerging luxury fashion brands across the county.
In what most might consider a truly ambitious effort, we strive to offer the only value-focused immersive luxury experience making our redefined vision of luxury accessible to all Atlantans. We believe time above all is the most precious of luxuries how you spend it is key.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We define success as retention from providing excellent service. We are in the business of hospitality it’s our passion and we take immense pride in being able to facilitate joyous, memorable experiences for our patrons. Monetary success is relative and does not provide an accurate metric for success.
Growing a community, supporting the arts and cultivating a future generation of cultural progressives to expound upon our mission is our ultimate measure of success.
