Meet Danyel Chaney, Markeitha Sessoms, and Kourtney Lawson of Poos Talk

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danyel Chaney, Markeitha Sessoms, and Kourtney Lawson.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
If you mean literally how the word Poos was created, then the story would start with me, a foul-mouthed child named Kourtney who found a not-so-vulgar way of saying pussy! Now if you mean how The Pooses began, the three of us got together back in 2014.

We became friends through me, socially known as @StingyPoos. Danyel and I, aka @Babypoos, met in college. Markeitha and I, known as @GoofyPoos, lived one block from each other. When me and Baby moved back to East ATL, we linked with Goof and the PoosPuff girls were born. The more we partied and chilled, our commonalities began to surface.

Everyday conversations showed us that we had more to say and not just to each other. We talked about love and loss, crazy ex’s and crazy sex, trying to be a boss bitch, and being held accountable for fucked up actions. The Pooses figured there are so many other women going through similar situations, why not broadcast it? On June 24, 2016, Poos Talk was created.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Hell no! We’ve definitely bumped heads. One of our biggest struggles is three different opinions. We tend to clash because we are all strong-minded. Matter of fact, it took us three hours to write the answer to the first question!

Other than the struggles of being a startup, and the fact that we fight like we’re married, our bond is strong, we get over it, and move on.

Please tell us about Poos Talk.
We are three women sharing comedic tales of life’s wildest experiences. We believe ALL women should strive to be honest and open about sexuality, love, sadness, and madness. Our goal is to prove that being ashamed of who you are is no longer an option.

The three of us created a podcast to motivate and empower people, women, in particular, to be comfortable and confident in their truth.

I am most proud of our growth and determination to win. Stingy is most proud of the unity between the three of us, and Goof is proud of the separation of personal and business.

Poos Talk is unlike any other podcast because we bring raw, uncensored content. We are not afraid to address sensitive topics.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, we wouldn’t change a thing!! Other than the fact we should have started years ago we are very happy with where we are and what we’ve done.
