Meet Nate Roze

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nate Roze.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Nate. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Music started for me at a very young age. I always used to listen to gospel growing up because my mother was one of those parents that said hip hop was the “devils music”. So I never heard a hip hop song until I went to school and get a taste of them at the school dance or something like that.

Eventually one day in 5th grade this step team back in school were stepping and strolling. But when they started strolling they played this one song that I would never forget for the rest of my life. They started strolling to Kanye West Flashing Lights. When I heard the beat, the chorus and them verses. I knew I wanted to do music. But that wasn’t even the fuel for me to really have the passion. That was the starter fuel like here’s a taste of music. So then years pass by I haven’t even touched music yet. Then 9th I’m in high school and this man starts rapping to this group of ladies I was hanging around. They all end up liking his rap and I’m looking around confused saying he sucks. So my friend then challenges me to make a better song than that.

And ever since then I’ve been making my own beats, my own lyrics, and doing my own engineering on every song I am on. Now I can say I got a project out on all streaming platforms called “EUPHORIA THEORY” and it’s a musical ballad for your mind. Takes you to the origin of my sounds. I also have a few singles floating around in the streets. I’m also part of a group called DIE EGO with my other members Groovy Chris, TC and Dai. We also dropped a project this past New Year called “DEEP” which is our way of focusing on society while giving you cool punchlines and quirky ideas in our bars. We also have hella singles floating around that many people bump. We got merchandise and a new season of merch is about to drop for the year 2020 and I’m hella excited for everyone to see! My next project “THE GIFT” drops 12/24/2019 Midnight!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest challenge was to get my family to support my music. When I first started no one supported it except my cousin Marvin. Like only him. Then he started like promoting me to the family-like “he got a talent that no one else got”, “y’all should help him with this” and no one would listen. Eventually, my family lightened up and started helping me with my music journey but still to this has not fully accepted it. But I know once they see the benefit they will.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I do music. All areas. I record, produce, mix & master. I am relatively known for my production cause my beats are hard. Anyone reading this should cop a few. My beats are to the point if you make a beat like this everyone knows your copying Nate Roze style and that’s how it has to be. My production is that crowd separator from everyone else.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory as a child has to be either seeing Michael Vick play football live in the Georgia Dome or being a witness to the greatness of Michael Jackson even though I was born on the backend of his career I always loved Michael Jackson.
