Meet Tomarion Brown of Love, Peace and Healing in Stone Mountain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tomarion Brown.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tomarion. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am originally from Los Angeles, CA and my wife and I uprooted our family the summer of 2018 to Atlanta, GA for a better quality of life. While living in Los Angeles, I worked as an LGBTQ Student Advisor in Higher Education for 11 years.

I always knew I was a healer, so I sought after obtaining my Massage Therapist License and once I received my license, I started working part-time for a popular franchise spa/massage company in Los Angeles, CA. After working day and night with my full-time job in Higher Education and as a Massage Therapist on the weekends I was feeling the burnout. I had no time to spend with my beautiful growing daughter and wife. Before moving to Atlanta, I decided I wanted to be a stay at home mom to our daughter who was two years old at the time. After living in Atlanta for just three months, I decided I wanted to embark on a new business journey.

Deep down I always knew I wanted to run my own business. I have never been a fan of heavily chemical ointments and raising an active 2-year-old who was prone to getting cuts and scrapes on her knees and hands. I needed a more natural option. My love for DIY natural remedies allowed me to come up with Plant Magic! My own universal first-aid healing salve. Plant Magic was created as my go-to salve to keep on hand for all first-aid purposes. I use this salve for cuts, scrapes, rashes, burns, dry lips, eczema, insect bites, tattoos and more. My salve is made to soothe, protect, and heal wounds on your body promoting rapid healing. Plant Magic healing salve is vegan and made with only six natural and organic ingredients. Plant Magic can be used on all skin types and all ages from babies to adults.

We are all so used to buying conventional products to help heal the wounds on our bodies. Plant Magic was created to show that you can switch your mindset from the conventional way of healing to the natural organic way of healing. I believe everyone should have natural healing products in their medicine cabinet with ingredients that continue to soothe, protect and heal.

Today, Plant Magic is making an imprint in the personal care market by reaching the masses through individual sales, vending at events and our Wholesale Program.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being vulnerable in creating something with my own hands that people would be able to judge or be skeptical about. How people would understand and react to the product. Being able to educate the consumer without pushing them away. Convincing people to trust in nature to heal faster and more efficient. Going up against the top brands in the personal care market. Being able to financially maintain without outside investors.

Love, Peace, and Healing – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are in the personal care market. Plant Magic is the launch product for my company Love, Peace, and Healing. I am the creator of Plant Magic which is a handmade topical healing salve made with herbal infused oils. I oversee every phase of the creation of Plant Magic, from product creation, marketing, customer service, packaging, and shipping. Since our launch, we have received nothing but great feedback from our customers. What has made me most proud are the returning customers and referrals of new customers. We are one of the few personal care products who uses nature without the chemical enhancements to save your skin.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moments are when my 3-year-old gets a cut or scrape and asks for Plant Magic. When the printer goes off, she automatically asks, “is that another Plant Magic order?” These are my proud moments because I know I am making an impact on my daughter’s life.
