Today we’d like to introduce you to Schenida Swinton.
Hi Schenida, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
One day living my life, I woke up overweight with high blood pressure and borderline prediabetic. I also suffered with excruciating migraines. I have been working in healthcare for over 25 years and what I do know is that I was on a fast road to my demise. I woke up from my slumber, realizing I wanted to live and not die. I wanted to be healthy first for myself and then for my family and generations to come.
The Journey begins. My doctor mentioned that surgery was an easy way to tackle the weight but that was not an option for me. While DNA is a factor in obesity, and some choose surgery, other less invasive choices are available to tackle obesity. So, I began researching healthy supplements, I chose to eat to live and not live to eat. It was important to cleanse daily and I learned you must have a willingness to exercise. I had to figure it out; so I researched and learned about the pescatarian-vegetarian route along with taking organic supplements. I began to make progress and loved it.
We accept things that occur in our bodies as just a part of our life. I took BC powder and Excedrin for my migraines every day instead of investigating the root cause. Upon investigating, I learned that the toxins in my body from not moving my bowels caused the migraines. I now detox 5 days a week with a gentle detox tea (IASO detox tea). This tea also helps my weight loss.
I am currently on my health and wellness journey. I am not doing a “fad” diet – it is my new lifestyle. I have taken classes and continue to hone my skills so that I am my own expert on this subject matter and I am equipped to assist anyone who wants to live a healthy life.
With a great MIND, BODY AND SOUL, we are destined for greatness. We have to do the individual work.
Take the time intentionally for you.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the obstacles have been life’s distractions, health challenges and taking care of my parent. I make no excuses I love what I do so I keep persevering toward my goals. You must stay committed to the goal. Never lose focus.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I really don’t believe in luck. I believe in the favor of God. I believe if you put the work in and with God’s grace, you can have what you believe.
