Rising Stars: Meet Rome Westfield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rome Westfield.

Hi Rome, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey, I am Rome Westfield, I am from Riverdale, GA I started doing music at a young age. I want to say I started around the seventh grade but I began to take it serious my twelfth-grade year in high school. After high school, I went to the SAE Institute of Atlanta just so I could learn how to mix, master and engineer on my own. After college, I worked on music on music solo for a while, then I signed to an independent label for a year. We parted ways after a year, then I released two albums, “Disguised In Smoke” and most recently “Came A Long Way” both are on all streaming platforms. Now I’m working on my third album!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Trying to make it as a music artist itself is a challenge, there are a lot of ups and downs. Especially being an Indie artist, I have faced a lot of trials that of which have made me the artist I am today. When I started out, I wasn’t always good at writing hooks or even making decent songs. I feel I have come a long way since then.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I mainly rap but I can also mix, master and engineer. I want to be known for more then just a rapper, hopefully in the future, but so far, that’s what I specialize in. I’m really proud of myself for just sticking with it and actually carrying out my dream and not letting the negativity stop me. An I just really feel I’m different then other artist people have heard before. I just bring my own special style to the music game.

What makes you happy?
Music makes me happy and they enjoyment of it on peoples faces when their listening to their favorite song.
