Hi Adrienne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Decorating things has always brought me joy. One day, I was browsing for ideas on Pinterest and stumbled upon a company in Australia that offers glamping parties. The idea to bring this type of business to Augusta, GA, was instant to me. I started panning, learning, and testing out ideas with my kids. Once I had everything in place, I put a date to officially launch. I marketed my business every way I could. It has now been 2 1/2 years operating as a small business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey to operating my business has been amazing, with many learning lessons. I never imagined myself being an entrepreneur, and the road to research was extensive. I had to learn how to build the tents, how to sew, how to market myself and get parents to believe in my business.

Sweet Dreaming Slumber Parties delivers the ultimate slumber party experience. We are offer fun-filled and unique glamping parties. Our company specializes in creating amazing slumber parties for kids. We have a strong passion for creating beautiful, trendy, and safe setups for everyone to enjoy. While we focus on kids, we also can create glamorous parties for adults too! Since our launching in 2018, we have added an outdoor bell tent, movie night parties, and yard letter rentals.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
The biggest thing that has helped my business is the internet. There are so many ways to learn, such as; groups on social media, YouTube videos, chat forums, and being able to reach out to your local SBA. My advice for finding a mentor/networking is to always be authentic, research and create a vision for your business, and be open to the positive and negatives.
