Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Bearden.
Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
“Because I Said I Would.”
Those five words have become more than just a motto for me. They are a daily reminder of the promises I’ve made to myself, my family, my businesses, and my community. Life is full, often overflowing, but I try never to lose sight of the journey that led me here.
I was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. After spending years traveling across America and visiting countries around the world, I eventually put down roots in Georgia in 2009. That same year, I launched the first of what would become three businesses—each built on a foundation of truth, transparency, and a vision for outdoor living inspired by my experiences and travels.
Owning businesses is demanding, but I’ve always believed that work should serve a larger purpose. For me, that purpose is helping others. Whether through my professional work or through community involvement, I want my time and effort to mean something beyond myself. I’m grateful that my businesses allow me not only to provide creative, meaningful services but also to give back to the community that has given me so much.
At the heart of it all, I believe we’re placed on this earth to make a difference in the lives of others. And as busy as life gets, I carry that belief with me—because I said I would.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think any business owner could honestly say they’ve never faced struggles. Challenges are part of the journey. whether it’s jumping hurdles or putting out fires. But I’ve come to believe that it’s not the challenges themselves that define us, but how we choose to handle them.
Over the past 16 years in business, I’ve weathered the ripple effects of the 2008 crash, navigated the uncertainties of COVID, faced the ups and downs of managing employees, and adapted to an ever-changing world after COVID. Each obstacle has tested me, but it has also taught me.
Struggles, as hard as they are, carry lessons. They shape how we grow, how we lead, and ultimately how we show up for our customers, our employees, and our community. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn and to do better, and that belief has carried me forward through each season of business and life.
As you know, we’re big fans of Raised Right Concrete Leveling . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Raised Right Concrete Leveling, we specialize in lifting and leveling sunken or uneven concrete so our customers don’t have to face the stress and cost of full replacement. From driveways and sidewalks to patios and garage floors, we restore safety, function, and curb appeal, all at a fraction of the cost of tearing everything out.
What sets us apart is our commitment to doing things right the first time. Our technicians are trained specifically in concrete leveling methods and bring both expertise and care to every project. It’s a detail-oriented approach that ensures long-lasting results and, just as importantly, peace of mind for our customers.
Raised Right is closely tied to my other company, Dreamscapes Landscaping, which specializes in creating unique outdoor spaces. Together, the two companies work hand-in-hand: Dreamscapes brings creative design and landscaping expertise, while Raised Right ensures the foundation—your concrete surfaces—are safe, stable, and built to last. By integrating the two, we’re able to provide homeowners with a complete solution, from repairing what’s underneath to designing the beauty on top.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built in the community. “Raised Right” isn’t just our name; it’s a reflection of our values. Honesty, transparency, and standing behind our work. Whether we’re leveling concrete or designing a landscape, both companies share the same mission: to bring truth, reliability, and quality service to every project.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple, to help homeowners protect their investment, enhance their outdoor spaces, and feel proud of where they live.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
There are so many ways people can work with us, collaborate with us, or support what we’re building. For homeowners, it starts with something simple, reaching out for an estimate. Whether it’s uneven concrete that needs leveling or a vision for a new landscape design, we’re here to provide solutions that are honest, reliable, and long-lasting.
For businesses and organizations, collaboration often comes through partnerships. Realtors, property managers, and contractors work with us because of their trust in our brands, safety, and beauty to the properties they represent. We also love teaming up with other local businesses when there’s an opportunity to serve the community together.
And for anyone who just wants to support us, word-of-mouth is the greatest gift. Referrals, reviews, and sharing our story with neighbors and friends are what keep small businesses like ours thriving. At the heart of both Raised Right Concrete Leveling and Dreamscapes Landscaping is a belief in community that when we work together, everyone benefits.
