Exploring Life & Business with Haz Musa of RoyalTeethLab

Today we’d like to introduce you to Haz Musa.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I founded Royal Teeth Lab as a true dental laboratory, combining dental technology with fine jewelry craftsmanship to create custom grillz that fit with precision while pushing artistic boundaries. Over the years, Royal Teeth Lab evolved from a specialized dental lab into a nationally recognized luxury jewelry brand known for innovative grillz, custom jewelry, and one-of-a-kind wearable art. Today, my work has been worn by artists, athletes, and cultural figures, but what I’m most proud of is helping elevate grillz into a respected art form. Through projects like the Atlanta Grillz Museum, I’m preserving the history and cultural significance of grillz while inspiring future generations of jewelers and designers. My mission has always been bigger than jewelry—it’s about building a legacy where craftsmanship, culture, and storytelling come together through every smile.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has definitely not been a smooth one. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced financial challenges, moments of uncertainty, and the pressure of building a business from the ground up with limited resources. In the beginning, I wore every hat imaginable—from designer and dental technician to marketer, photographer, customer service representative, and business owner. There were times when people didn’t understand the vision because grillz weren’t widely viewed as an art form or luxury craftsmanship. Earning trust, educating clients, and changing that perception required years of consistency and perseverance.

One of the biggest lessons I learned is that success isn’t built overnight—it’s built through resilience. Every setback taught me something that made Royal Teeth Lab stronger, whether it was refining my craftsmanship, improving the customer experience, or becoming a better leader. Instead of allowing obstacles to discourage me, I used them as motivation to innovate. That mindset eventually led me to create projects like the Atlanta Grillz Museum, which showcases grillz as wearable art and celebrates the culture behind them. Looking back, I’m grateful for every challenge because each one helped shape not only my business but also the person I’ve become.

We’ve been impressed with RoyalTeethLab, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Royal Teeth Lab is more than a jewelry brand—it’s a movement built on the belief that every smile has a story worth telling. Founded in Atlanta as a dental laboratory, we’ve grown into a luxury jewelry house specializing in custom grillz, bespoke jewelry, dentures, and our signature Gambian Link chains. By combining dental precision with fine jewelry craftsmanship, we create pieces that are as functional as they are artistic.

We’re known for pushing the culture forward. Royal Teeth Lab is the first and only company in Atlanta to create genuine opal grillz, and every design is inspired by history, faith, culture, and purpose. We don’t just make jewelry—we create wearable testimonies that allow people to express who they are.

Our mission extends beyond our showroom. Through the Atlanta Grillz Museum, we celebrate the artistry of grillz while donating proceeds to Atlanta Public Schools’ art programs. Every grill purchase also comes with exclusive Royal Teeth Lab merchandise, and our premium clients receive collectible gifts like our signature Gambian Link necklaces. We even create exclusive watches gifted only to artists who perform at the Grillz Museum.

What sets Royal Teeth Lab apart is simple: when you become our client, you don’t just buy a grill—you become part of the legacy. We believe a smile can be more than gold and diamonds; it can be a symbol of identity, purpose, and transformation. That’s the spirit behind everything we create.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success, to me, is the moment your gifts begin to outlive you. Wealth is measurable, but legacy is unforgettable. I believe God gives each of us a talent, and our responsibility is to multiply it—not only for ourselves, but to create opportunities, inspire others, and leave the world more beautiful than we found it.
At the same time, I’m a very logical person. Success isn’t just vision; it’s discipline, consistency, and execution. It’s keeping your word, mastering your craft, and improving every day, even when no one is watching. When purpose is guided by faith and supported by excellence, success becomes inevitable. If my work can change the way people see themselves, preserve culture, and open doors for the next generation, then I know I’ve succeeded.
