Today we’d like to introduce you to Nichole Pointdujour.
Hi Nichole , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been anything but traditional. I graduated from Virginia Union University, a proud Historically Black College and University (HBCU), and later earned my Master of Business Administration (MBA). Those experiences laid the foundation for a 21 year career on Wall Street, where I built my expertise across investment banking, equity trading, operations, program management, and national partnerships. Throughout my career, I had the opportunity to build strategic partnerships, lead high impact initiatives, and work alongside executives and organizations across the country. Looking back, I realized my greatest gift wasn’t just building businesses, it was building relationships that created opportunities for others.
While I was still working in corporate America, God gave me the vision for The Master Connector Agency. The vision was rooted in something I had been doing my entire life: bringing the right people together, building meaningful relationships, and creating strategic partnerships that change lives and businesses. I stepped out on faith, trusting God and using the relationships, experience, and lessons I had gained over more than two decades.
Within six months, I grew the business to six figures through strategic partnerships with brands including Amazon, Truist, Puma, and Northwestern Mutual. Today, I help entrepreneurs, executives, and organizations secure corporate partnerships, expand their networks, and access the tools, resources, and connections they need to grow and scale.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is creating In the Room Where the Deals Are Done, an executive leadership forum designed to bring corporate executives, industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs together to build authentic relationships that lead to real business opportunities. At each event, I interview a successful multimillionaire entrepreneur or executive who not only shares their career journey, but also how they have used their influence and success to make an impact in their community. Past guests have included Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, Yandy Smith Harris, Dr. Eric Thomas, and Angela Yee. On October 15, 2026, I’ll continue that tradition by interviewing Fortune 100 executive Valeisha Butterfield.
Looking back, I can see that every chapter of my journey prepared me for this assignment. Wall Street taught me strategy, leadership, and how to build relationships at the highest levels. Entrepreneurship has taught me faith, resilience, and the importance of being obedient to the vision God placed in me. Today, my mission is to create high impact rooms where the right people meet, relationships are built, and opportunities are created because I truly believe you’re one connection away from changing your life.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. Entrepreneurship has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life, but it has also been one of the most challenging.
After spending more than 21 years on Wall Street, I was accustomed to the stability of receiving a paycheck every two weeks. Entrepreneurship is completely different. You quickly realize that every client, partnership, and opportunity has to be earned.
One of my biggest challenges has been building the right team and learning to invest in my business. From hiring key team members to purchasing systems, marketing, technology, and promotional resources, I’ve learned that it truly costs money to make money. Those investments are necessary to build a business that can grow and scale, but they also require faith, especially when you’re no longer receiving a guaranteed salary every two weeks.
I’ve also learned that success isn’t about doing everything yourself. Building the right team has allowed me to focus on my strengths while surrounding myself with people who help bring the vision of The Master Connector Agency to life.
Most importantly, entrepreneurship has strengthened my faith. I believe God gave me the vision for this business, and even during the challenging seasons, I’ve trusted Him to guide every step. Looking back, every obstacle has taught me valuable lessons about leadership, resilience, and perseverance, and those lessons have made me a stronger entrepreneur and a better leader.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’ve taken one of the biggest risks of my life by leaving the security of a successful 21 year career on Wall Street to become a full time entrepreneur. After years of receiving a steady paycheck every two weeks, I stepped into a world where nothing is guaranteed. Every client, partnership, speaking engagement, and opportunity has to be earned.
That experience changed my perspective on risk. I don’t believe risk is about making reckless decisions. I believe it’s about having the courage to pursue the vision God has placed in your heart while making wise, strategic decisions along the way. Every investment I’ve made in my business, whether it’s hiring a team, investing in technology, marketing, or producing large scale events, has involved some level of risk. But I’ve learned that growth requires investing in yourself and your vision.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that calculated risks often lead to the greatest opportunities. If I had stayed in my comfort zone, I never would have built The Master Connector Agency, written my book, spoken on stages across the country, or had the opportunity to share my expertise on national television, radio, podcasts, and stages such as the Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit. Those opportunities have allowed me to inspire entrepreneurs and corporate executives while helping them build strategic relationships that grow their careers and businesses.
Risk will always be a part of entrepreneurship, but I’ve learned that faith and preparation go hand in hand. I do my homework, make informed decisions, and trust God with the outcome. Some risks have paid off immediately, while others have become valuable learning experiences. Every step has strengthened my faith, sharpened my leadership, and reinforced that the greatest opportunities often come when you’re willing to step outside of your comfort zone and trust the vision God has given you.
