Inspiring Conversations with Victoria Raji of LCA Luxury Decor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Raji.

Hi Victoria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been drawn to creating beautiful spaces. As a child, I loved art, nature, and building things with simple materials, often rearranging rooms and imagining how a space could feel different with thoughtful changes. That creative curiosity stayed with me, even as my career took an unexpected path.

Professionally, I built a career in Healthcare Management, IT risk management, and compliance, where I spent years identifying risks, solving complex problems, and designing frameworks that help organizations operate safely and efficiently. At the same time, I was raising three children, and I became increasingly aware of how the design of a home affects everyday life, how furniture placement, lighting, materials, and organization influence comfort, well-being, and even safety.

Those experiences shaped the vision for LCA Luxury Decor. I realized that interior design isn’t just about creating beautiful rooms; it’s about creating homes that truly support the people living in them. That’s why I developed LCA around the philosophy of Luxury Made Livable™ spaces that are refined, functional, intentional, and designed for real life.

Today, LCA specializes in residential interior design, furnishing, and styling, helping homeowners create timeless interiors through curated statement pieces, thoughtful planning, and a wellbeing- and safety-conscious approach. Whether it’s selecting the right color palette, furnishing an entire home, or coordinating every detail from concept to completion, my goal is to create spaces that feel luxurious, comfortable, and uniquely personal.

Looking back, my journey wasn’t a straight line, but every experience, from healthcare to motherhood to entrepreneurship, has influenced the way I design today. Those lessons continue to shape LCA’s mission of creating homes that are as livable as they are beautiful.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges was building LCA Luxury Decor while raising my youngest child, who was only three months old when I was laying the foundation for the business. Learning how to balance motherhood, family responsibilities, and entrepreneurship required a level of resilience I never expected.

Another challenge was funding the business. Like many entrepreneurs, I didn’t have unlimited resources, so I invested carefully, learned new skills, and built LCA one step at a time instead of rushing the process.

Although I always had a natural gift for design, I quickly realized that creating beautiful spaces and building a successful design firm are two very different things. I had to learn the business side of interior design, branding, operations, client experience, marketing, systems, sourcing, and project management. That learning curve was one of the hardest, but also one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

Looking back, those challenges shaped the company. They taught me patience, discipline, and the importance of building a business on a strong foundation rather than chasing quick success. Today, those same lessons influence how I serve my clients, with intentionality, thoughtful processes, and a commitment to creating homes that are not only beautiful but truly livable.

As you know, we’re big fans of LCA Luxury Decor. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
LCA Luxury Decor is a luxury residential interior design firm specializing in thoughtfully curated interiors that are as livable as they are beautiful. We provide personalized interior design, furnishings, styling, procurement, and white-glove project coordination for homeowners seeking timeless, elevated spaces.

What sets us apart is The LCA Method™, Live. Comfy. Aesthetics.™ This signature framework guides every design decision we make. We believe luxury should enhance everyday life, not complicate it. Every home is intentionally designed around how our clients live, creating spaces that balance beauty, comfort, functionality, and long-term livability.

Our work is known for sculptural furnishings, statement lighting, timeless materials, and refined details, while also considering wellbeing and safety. Influenced by my background in risk management and my experience as a mother, we thoughtfully evaluate layouts, material selections, durability, and everyday usability so our clients can enjoy homes that are both elegant and practical.

Beyond design, we create a seamless client experience through curated sourcing, trusted trade partnerships, and white-glove coordination, allowing homeowners to enjoy the process with confidence.

The brand promise behind everything we do is simple: Luxury Made Livable™. We don’t design homes just to be admired; we design homes that people truly love living in. Every project is created to feel beautiful, intentional, comfortable, and uniquely personal.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe my journey has been defined by luck as much as by perseverance, faith, and preparation. Every challenge I’ve faced has become an opportunity to grow into the entrepreneur and designer I’m becoming.

Building LCA Luxury Decor while raising a young family required countless early mornings, late nights, and a willingness to learn an entirely new industry from the ground up. Although design has always been a natural gift, building a successful design firm demanded far more than creativity; it required learning business strategy, operations, marketing, client experience, procurement, and leadership.

Looking back, what some people might call luck was really the result of consistently showing up, investing in myself, seeking mentorship, and refusing to quit. Every client, every lesson, and every challenge has helped shape both my business and The LCA Method™, which is built on creating homes that are beautiful, functional, intentional, and designed for everyday living.

I believe opportunities come when preparation meets purpose. I’m grateful for every door that’s opened, but I’m even more grateful for the lessons that prepared me to walk through it. Those experiences continue to shape LCA Luxury Decor and our promise of Luxury Made Livable™.
