Today we’d like to introduce you to Shan Deezy.
Hi Shan , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My first introduction to music was mom and her beautiful singing and my uncle played the piano. I picked up my first instrument at the age of 11 I played the alto saxophone and my form 6th to 8th grade and then my freshman year of high school I started playing the tenor saxophone until my senior year. When I turned 18 my friend didn’t know how to work mix craft 7 so I played with it and I kinda understood how it worked and the. I started recording. As I got older I walked away from music completely i started my first job at fedex and i wanted to make money instead of doing music. In 2018 I was going through some dark times and the only way to over come it was to go back to my peace and safe haven so I decided to enroll in SAE Institute in Atlanta I went to learn how to make beats but I fell in love with the boards which made me lock in on learning how to engineer. In 2021 I dropped my first project called “Old News”on sound cloud the entire project was produced by me from the beats to the mixing and mastering. I dropped it just to show case my skills and show my growth because I had some some projects about to drop from o to we artist that I had mixed and mastered.. I started taking music more serious during covid but I didn’t drop anything because I was my biggest critic. 2024 I decided to get out my head and just do it I starting making music performing doing shows focusing on my pen game and getting better at my craft all while working on other projects I had with my clients and also helping artist find there sound and teaching basic recording classes. July of 2026 I just dropped my first single “Shake” and I have got nothing put positive feed back from the track
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Most of my journey has been smooth but I have encounter some difficulties along the way like artist running off on a session not wanting to pay or wanting discounts on beats and egos but other than that nothing has made me be or feel ok I’m not doing music anymore I do everything from making my own beats to recording mixing and mastering all my projects so don’t have to encounter a lot of things
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
