Conversations with Angelia Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelia Brown.

Hi Angelia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Like many people, my journey hasn’t been a straight line. It has been one of faith, perseverance, and learning to trust God through every season.

Professionally, I’ve spent more than 25 years leading enterprise initiatives, organizational transformation, and strategic projects across healthcare and other industries. I’ve always loved bringing people together, solving complex problems, and helping organizations move from vision to execution. Those experiences shaped me as a leader and taught me the importance of integrity, collaboration, and servant leadership.

At the same time, God was doing an even deeper work in my life. I know what it’s like to walk through seasons of uncertainty, financial hardship, and wondering what God was doing behind the scenes. Those seasons strengthened my faith and gave me a heart for encouraging others to trust Him, even when they can’t yet see the outcome.

In 2022, after recovering from COVID, I sensed the Lord leading me to begin a daily prayer call. I simply wanted to be obedient. I never imagined how God would use that one step of faith to impact lives around the world. What began as a small prayer community has grown into Live Out Your Faith Nation, a ministry dedicated to leading people into a life-changing, authentic, and ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, biblical teaching, and community.

Today, I have the privilege of serving in both the marketplace and ministry. Whether I’m leading enterprise projects, speaking, writing, mentoring leaders, or teaching God’s Word, my mission remains the same: to help people discover their God-given purpose, lead with excellence, and live out their faith every day.

I believe leadership is influence, and every opportunity I’ve been given, whether in the boardroom or behind a microphone, is another opportunity to serve people well and bring glory to God.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. Like most people, my journey has included seasons of uncertainty, disappointment, and setbacks. There were times when I questioned whether I was qualified, whether I was on the right path, and whether the vision God had given me would ever come to pass.

As a single mother, I experienced financial hardship and had to trust God in ways I never imagined. Professionally, I’ve had to work hard to earn opportunities, continue learning, and prove myself throughout my career. I’ve learned that success isn’t built overnight. It’s the result of consistently showing up, doing the work, and remaining faithful even when no one is watching.

Ministry has brought its own challenges. Building something that God has called you to build requires faith, patience, and perseverance. There are moments when you don’t see immediate results, but I’ve learned that obedience is my responsibility and the outcome belongs to God. Galatians 6:9 has been a source of encouragement throughout my journey: “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that God uses every season to prepare us. The challenges that once felt like obstacles became the very experiences that allow me to encourage others with authenticity and compassion today. Looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey because it shaped both my leadership and my faith.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’ve always believed that our purpose is greater than any one title or role. Throughout my career, God has given me opportunities to serve in the marketplace while also building businesses and a ministry that are making a meaningful impact in people’s lives.

Professionally, I’ve spent more than 25 years leading enterprise projects, organizational transformation, and strategic initiatives. I enjoy bringing people together, solving complex problems, and helping organizations turn vision into execution. Those experiences have shaped me as a leader and reinforced the importance of integrity, excellence, and servant leadership.

Outside of my corporate career, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I believe God gives us gifts, experiences, and ideas not only to fulfill our purpose but also to create opportunities to serve others and make a lasting impact. That has led me to write books, develop faith-based resources, speak at conferences, establish consulting services, and found Live Out Your Faith Nation, a ministry dedicated to leading people into a life-changing, authentic, and ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Although my work spans different areas, everything I do is connected by one purpose: helping people grow. Whether I’m leading a strategic initiative in the boardroom, teaching God’s Word, encouraging someone through prayer, or developing resources that equip leaders and believers, my desire is the same. I want to help people discover their God-given purpose, develop the gifts God has placed within them, and confidently walk in His calling.

I don’t see my career, my businesses, and my ministry as separate. I see them as different expressions of the same calling. Each one gives me an opportunity to lead, serve, and create lasting impact. My prayer is that everything I put my hands to reflects excellence, honors God, and points people to Jesus Christ.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
As a Christian, I don’t attribute my journey to luck. I believe in God’s faithfulness, His favor, and the importance of being faithful with the opportunities He’s entrusted to me.

That doesn’t mean the road has been easy. There have been seasons of uncertainty, setbacks, closed doors, and waiting. Looking back, I can see that what I once viewed as disappointments were often God’s way of redirecting me or preparing me for what was ahead.

I also believe faith and hard work go hand in hand. I pray, I trust God, and then I do the work. I’ve spent years investing in my education, developing my leadership skills, gaining experience, and striving for excellence in everything I do. I don’t believe success happens by chance. It comes from consistently showing up, remaining faithful, and trusting God with the results.

When opportunities have come my way, I don’t see them as luck. I see them as blessings and evidence of God’s grace. My responsibility is to steward those opportunities well, serve people with excellence, and remain obedient to where He is leading me next.
